On the eighth of September, 2017, the disciple Shi Faxi respectfully invited to provide teachings. The disciple sought guidance on the nature of the ceremony, specifically regarding the observation that every part of the process is imbued with the chanting of the Buddha's name, and that all within the void is filled with thoughts of Goodness and the recitation of the Buddha.
Namo Amituofo offered this discourse: The path of every Buddha is the same, and the response of every Buddha is identical. When you proclaim the sacred name, you must do so with a heart of utmost sincerity. The Buddha-heart and the Buddha-vows are vast, and the Buddha’s is immeasurable. When you cultivate a heart of Goodness, you become skilful at transformation, allowing your physical form to change the environment around you.
The light of the Buddha permeates everywhere, illuminating the darkness and dispelling the shadows. When you understand the nature of light and shadow, you begin to realise how much of the world remains in grey obscurity. In both the realms of the living and the departed, if one lacks the necessary spiritual strength, it is difficult to avoid being entangled by karmic forces. To remain constantly in sync with the Buddha is to walk the path of the Buddha.
When your actions are in harmony with the Buddha’s nature, you begin to understand the hidden workings of the world. Those who see the light of Goodness shine it upon everything, leaving no corner untouched. A person who has awakened their heart will naturally radiate and kindness. They will delight in virtuous actions, spread the seeds of Goodness, and share their benevolent intentions with all. Their body and mind will feel the resonance of this truth.
You must strive to transform all things through the teachings of the Buddha, with the sincere vow to save all beings and wish for the well-being of everyone. Do not limit your compassion to your own personal concerns. Instead, expand your heart to encompass the world, spreading these teachings far and wide. Treat others with the same kindness you wish to receive, without seeking any reward for your Goodness. When you act with a heart that is pure and free from attachment, your goodness becomes genuine and effortless.
You must diligently regulate your Body, Speech, and Mind. As a practitioner, you must ensure that you are no longer connected to evil. Let your heart be as clear and precious as jade, and let your life be a testament to purity in this world. When you encounter evil, transform it through the power of a heart rooted in Goodness. When you see what is considered ugly, look deeper to find the beauty within. This is the essence of the traditional teachings of the sages, which are inherently good and meant to be proclaimed throughout the human world.
Why do we not compare our path to the dignity of the Buddha? Where should the practitioner go? The goal is rebirth in the , to leap out of the cycle of rebirth, and to transcend the mundane world. I instruct all my disciples to make the vow to return to the source. In this world, you must understand the nature of emotion and suffering. Do not let your emotions entangle you; instead, use wisdom to transform your perspective. Know that within your own heart, there is a sun and a moon that shine upon your true nature.
When you are bright, you are clear. To realise one's true nature is to understand the Buddha within yourself. This is not something to be sought outside, nor is it a that exists apart from your heart. Can you understand this? Let your heart sing the True Teachings. The Dharma has no fixed form, and the Dharma does not cling to appearances. If you know that there is no fixed Dharma, how can you see the truth? If you know what is truly Good, how can you speak of it as if it were a mere concept? It is not something that appears in form; it is only the manifestation of true, clear reality. The True Teachings are a precious treasure. Namo Amituofo sits here personally, listening to see who is the one seeking.
