The Miraculous Path to Redemption

I am Fan Zhenhua. That I am able to express my thoughts and share my story here today is truly an inconceivable miracle. For a long time, I was a soul lost in the cycle of rebirth. After my passing, I fell into the lower realms and was reborn as a serpent—specifically, a rat snake. This was the consequence of my life as a human; my heart had been clouded, my thoughts were often impure, and I was consumed by the "self," personal ego, and selfishness. I lived only for my own interests and those of my immediate family, often causing harm to others in the process. I must be honest about this, for to hide the truth would only add to my burden of karma.

Fortunately, my daughter, Li Zhen, found her way to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Through the profound wisdom of Practitioner Su, who possesses the ability to locate the spirits of the departed, I was found. I was rescued from that serpent form and brought to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to listen to the Dharma. It was there that I learned the importance of chanting Namo Amituofo and the necessity of seeking rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Only then did I receive the chance to be saved.

From the Cycle of Rebirth to the Pure Land

During my life, I was obsessed with saving face, and that pride was my downfall. Now, I understand clearly that to live as a human, one must be sincere, transparent, and upright. I urge all people in this world to examine their own hearts. If you have a difficult temperament or negative habits, you must work to change them. This is the only way to avoid causing harm to yourself and to others. My daughter, Li Zhen, has always been a filial and gentle child. I never had to worry about her, and she has always known how to care for others. It is because of her virtuous actions that she was able to save both her mother and me. We are now living in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and it is truly wonderful here. If only I had known earlier about the purification of the mind and the practice of Buddhism, I could have begun my journey sooner and avoided all that suffering.

The Wisdom of a Transformed Life

In this place, there are no worldly disputes, no conflicts, and no misunderstandings. Everyone here is kind, gentle, and at ease. We live in a state of complete freedom, unburdened by the constraints of the physical world. The environment is always pleasant, with gentle breezes and beautiful light. Without the physical body, our spirits are vibrant and youthful. I have shed the weight of my old "self," personal ego, and selfishness, and I feel incredibly light. I have even forgotten the need to eat or sleep, for there is no illness here. I do not suffer from even the slightest ailment, let alone the exhaustion or insomnia that plagued my human life.

The Eternal Bliss of the Western Pure Land

Li Zhen, my dear daughter, you brought your parents to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss; we are so grateful for your love. If it were not for the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Namo Amituofo, and Practitioner Su, we would not be where we are today. Please share this news with our family, our friends, and everyone you know. Help them understand the path of Buddhism, encourage them to chant Namo Amituofo, and guide them toward rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. You must all come here, too! We can be reunited in this place of eternal peace.
