An Interview with Ms. Yang Yuqing
Recorded on October 13, 2019
Ms. Yang Yuqing, the former stepmother of Mr. Guan Jun, sought deliverance through the compassionate performed at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. Having been liberated from the suffering of the snake realm, she now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This interview was recorded on October 13, 2019, and transcribed by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe.
Ms. Yang Yuqing speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Yang Yuqing. Looking back upon my life, I feel a profound sense of shame. Although I held the role of a stepmother, I was trapped in the cycle of suffering and only managed to escape the wretched realm of snakes because I was saved by the sincere Chao Du performed by my daughter-in-law, Xingying, and rescued by the compassionate intervention of Practitioner Su.
The Heavy Burden of Jealousy
That layer of snake skin I wore—it was a heavy, suffocating burden. I could only crawl upon the cold ground, forever trapped in that lowly form. The way I slithered was the direct, painful consequence of my narrow-mindedness while I was alive. I could never bear to see others doing well; my jealousy was my undoing. I was blessed with a sharp mind, but I did not use it for good. It was truly wrong of me, and I regret it deeply!
A New Life in the Western Land
Now, Practitioner Su has guided me here to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I have been chanting Namo Amituofo to cleanse my heavy sins. While I was in the , I chanted constantly, terrified that I might fall back into the form of a snake. I never imagined I would reach this place of light and peace. I will continue to chant Namo Amituofo with all my heart.
Thank you, Practitioner Su. Thank you, my daughter-in-law, Xingying. Namo Amituofo."
