"Namo Amituofo. May I ask which beings are present?"

The Descent into Darkness

The Spirits speak:

"Namo Amituofo. We are the insects living deep beneath the earth, hidden from the light. We have been trapped in the cycle of rebirth as insects for a very long time now. Believe it or not, we were once a group of university students with bright futures ahead of us. We had everything to live for, but we threw it all away. We started going to nightclubs just for the thrill of it, and eventually, we began experimenting with drugs. We engaged in promiscuous behaviour with one another, losing all sense of dignity and morality. We were young, reckless, and completely blinded by our own desires."

A Tragic End and a Call for Deliverance

"Many of us died suddenly from overdoses. Even in our final moments, our heads were spinning from the drugs, and some of us were convulsing, our limbs shaking uncontrollably. We had completely destroyed our human forms through our own actions. Now, we are reduced to living as insects in the dirt, suffering in the darkness. We are so deeply grateful to the Wind God for his ; he roared and called out just to help us, to bring us here to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. We have brought many others with us, hoping for a chance at salvation and to be liberated from this cycle of suffering. We truly regret our past choices and pray for the mercy of Namo Amituofo."

"Namo Amituofo."
