The Illusory Nature of Our World

As the old scenes of our lives fade away, new ones inevitably arise. We must understand that every single scene we encounter is merely an illusory manifestation, much like floating clouds or a passing breeze. It is precisely within these illusory realms that we must cultivate the true. Do not be lost in the fog of confusion, failing to see your own master—your true self. In this maze of confusion, we often lose sight of who we are. We are surrounded by the truth, yet we fail to recognise it, drifting through life after life in a cycle of ignorance.

The Necessity of the False to Realise the True

Fortunately, we have encountered the Buddha, who offers us His compassionate assistance. He speaks to us of the true and the false, helping us to discern the difference clearly. The truth must borrow the false in order to be cultivated; without this temporary, false body, the true nature would be difficult to manifest. Whether it is true or false, illusory or real, all of these are simply the true heart responding to the world around us. It is always present, manifesting in every word we speak and every action we take. We must learn to look past the surface of things and perceive the underlying reality of our existence.

Manifesting the True Nature through Goodness

To walk the path of , we must commit ourselves to a life of virtue. This means we must learn to see good in all things, speak words of goodness, and perform good deeds in every moment. When we consistently embody this goodness, our true nature will naturally manifest. This is the essence of the practice: to live in such a way that our actions reflect the purity of our original nature. By doing so, we transform our lives from confusion to awakening. Let us hold fast to this practice, chanting Namo Amituofo all the way, and allow our true nature to shine forth in all that we do.
