What is this potential we speak of? Potential refers to the latent capabilities within you—your original nature. It is not something that appears out of thin air or through external acquisition. Instead, it requires a dedicated, ongoing process of purification, and then more purification. Through this rigorous journey of self-reflection and practice, you can remove defilements and attain purity. Only when these layers are peeled away can your innate abilities emerge, allowing them to be fully utilised for the benefit of all beings.
This potential is truly infinite. Its scope of application is boundless, transcending the limitations of time and space. When you align your life with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, your potential naturally manifests to meet the needs of the moment. It is not a forced effort, but a spontaneous response to the needs of the world, guided by wisdom and .
Those who have realised their true nature and become a Buddha have fully manifested this potential. In terms of innate ability, this is the natural power that arises after the complete purification of . It is vital to understand that this is not the result of external spiritual attachment. You must maintain clear discernment and avoid falling into the trap of confusing true awakening with the pursuit of supernatural powers. Do not let your mind be clouded by such distractions. Instead, focus on the path of steady practice, for it is through this that you will truly find your way home.
