The Serene Nature of the Awakened Being

Recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe. On the tenth of May, 2025, during the midday offering, Namo Amituofo provided this profound guidance on the state of those who have realised their true nature.

Those who have realised their true nature live with ease, following the natural flow of life and acting with spontaneous freedom. Within the laws of the world, they are not restricted by these laws; instead, they are able to utilise them skilfully. When they engage in the work to save the world and rescue beings, their hearts remain unmoved by the constant changes of the world. In fact, because their hearts remain still and undisturbed, the external environment itself begins to transform.

Walking the Path of Universal Truth

The awakened being acts with spontaneous freedom because their heart is at peace. In every interaction with people, matters, and environments, they are able to see clearly the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. They walk in accordance with these, never deviating from the path. Within the practice of the , they do not violate the rules; they uphold them naturally, and within the framework of these precepts, they continue to live with ease and spontaneous freedom.

By living in this way, they are not restricted by time or space. This allows them to open up space and save beings residing within those dimensions. They move through the world, dedicated to the mission of saving the world and rescuing beings.

Transcending the Veils of the

Because their hearts are truly at ease, they are not moved by the various behaviours of beings or the constant changes of the world. They do not allow these changes to produce physical sensations or emotional reactions. They remain unaffected by their own thoughts or senses. They use their Six Sense Organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, to move through the laws of the world, yet they are never limited by them. Throughout all of this, they never act in a way that contradicts the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.

The Pure Buddha-Land of the Spirit

The of Ultimate Bliss is a pure Buddha-land for the spirit. The various levels of rebirth, known as the four lands and the three grades of nine classes, are determined by the spiritual quality of each being. In that environment of ultimate purity and goodness, the vows and actions of the beings of the Western Land are also pure and good, free from any pollution or negativity.

Their latent habits or bad character traits have no external conditions to manifest, meaning no evil consequences arise. By cultivating pure and good causes, when the external conditions mature, they will naturally receive pure and good fruit. This process continuously elevates the quality of one's spirit, allowing them to ascend through the four lands and the three grades of nine classes.

The higher the spiritual quality of the beings of the Western Land, the more they are able to live with ease and spontaneous freedom within their respective spaces. As their spiritual quality continues to rise, they break through their current space and naturally enter another. This continues, step by step, until they enter the Land of Eternally Quiescent Light and finally attain Buddhahood. Namo Amituofo.
