The Unwavering Vow of the Heart

To speak of persisting to the end implies that you have already traversed a significant portion of your journey. You have likely faced trials, tests, and challenges along the way. Whether you have yet to reach your ultimate goal or have already achieved a milestone, the need for persistence remains constant. This is both an encouragement and a gentle reminder to all practitioners to remain steadfast in their efforts.

In the current context, this message is directed specifically to the students of Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. You must continue to overcome the various habits and tendencies—the 'self,' personal ego, and selfishness—that arise from the world. We are all deeply influenced by the ocean of , and it is easy to become stained by the world. You must address the problems that arise during your practice with patience and resolve.

The Sacred Foundation of Faith

My dear students, you must have faith in the Buddha, and you must also have faith in yourselves. However, there is a vital prerequisite to having faith in yourself: you must first have faith in the laws of karma and cause and effect. Do not abandon your belief in the laws of karma to rely solely on your own limited perspective. If you act only according to your own personal desires, you will inevitably deviate from the right path. Such deviations lead to actions that cause harm to both yourself and others.

True faith is not merely a feeling; it is a commitment to align your life with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.

The Inner Sanctum of Purity

The Buddha’s gate is a place of purity. Maintaining this sacred environment is a collective responsibility that we all share. However, the purification of your internal environment—your own heart and mind—is a task that requires your individual, diligent effort. There is a common saying: the teacher brings you through the door, but the practice depends on the individual. This is the essence of your spiritual growth. You must take personal responsibility for your own transformation.

The Eternal Transmission of the

To reach the state of an awakened being, you must apply your persistence in three specific areas: in all actions that help elevate your spirit and refine your character; in your efforts to break through any limitations or difficulties you encounter until you realise your true nature; and in the work you perform as part of the Hsiang Kuang salvation team, dedicated to helping all beings leave suffering behind and find happiness.

By maintaining this focus, you will successfully spread the Pure Land teachings. Let us ensure that the name of Namo Amituofo, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and the holy name of are transmitted throughout the Dharma Realm for all eternity.
