On 30 June 2019, during the third session of the held in Yilan, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju provided profound guidance on the path of practising the Buddha's vows. You may have heard of the many schools of the Dharma, but have you truly considered what it means to walk the path of the Buddha's vows? All the great treatises and teachings of the various schools share a single, ultimate source. They all exist for one purpose: to help you rediscover your true self and allow your original nature to manifest in this world.
In this age of the Dharma's decline, the hearts of sentient beings are often clouded by impurity and confusion. Therefore, the purification of your body, mind, and spirit has become the most urgent task. You must not neglect your daily practice; it is the foundation of your spiritual growth. You must work diligently to transform the "self," personal ego, and selfishness until they vanish entirely. This is the true essence of repenting and changing your ways. Through the power of the , you can wash away the darkness that obscures your true nature.
To truly practise the vows of , you must not only save yourself but also guide all beings toward the Western Pure Land. When the name of Namo Amituofo resonates throughout the entire Dharma Realm, your true self will manifest, and your actions will align with those of the Buddha. Let the light of your heart and the capacity of your mind transcend the limitations of time and space. Through your , you can save the world and spread the teachings of the Pure Land far and wide.
