This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Wu Huiqin, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition and her new life in the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on December 12, 2025.
Lay Practitioner Wu Huiqin speaks:
". At this moment, I am so filled with that I hardly know what to say. All I know is that the sound of the Buddha-name, 'Namo Amituofo,' is constantly playing in my ears. My entire heart has melted, and I am deeply, deeply moved. Standing before the Buddha, I realise how small I am, yet the Buddha treats me as if I were a Buddha myself.
From this day forward, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is my home. And this home is vast—so incredibly vast—unlike the small family home I used to yearn for. While a small home can have its moments of happiness, it can never last. Only upon arriving here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss did I see that throughout my many lives, I have had so many families and so many family members. Some of them are still suffering, and there are many beings I have wronged in the past who are also trapped in suffering, unable to escape. Seeing this makes me feel truly sorrowful.
I know the only way I can save them is to properly achieve my own cultivation first, and then return to help all the beings with whom I have karmic affinity. Although this task sounds daunting, whenever I am in the presence of Namo Amituofo, I feel completely at ease. I have absolute confidence that I can accomplish this. This is the magnificent power of the Buddha, is it not?
I have always considered myself a very ordinary person. To think that I would have the to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, to sit upon a lotus flower, and to be able to go wherever I wish and see whatever I desire—it is truly miraculous. Here, I no longer feel the heavy, painful sensations of having a physical body. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world of vibrant, brilliant colours. Everything here appears to be glowing with light, and everything is chanting the Buddha-name. I am so happy, so satisfied, and so deeply grateful.
I also constantly remind myself that I have not come here simply to enjoy myself. I want to study diligently with the Buddha, because this is a place where one can truly become a Buddha. It is a great university where Namo Amituofo teaches everyone how to attain Buddhahood. There is nothing left here for me to worry about; my entire heart is relaxed and at peace.
Although I, as your mother, did not truly lead you into the Buddha’s gate while I was in the human world, I sincerely hope from here that not only my own children, but all children, will have the opportunity to come here, to draw close to the Buddha’s teachings, and to draw close to Namo Amituofo. While you are in the world, you must actively propagate the . Spread the news that Namo Amituofo has come to the human world and is present at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. The time you have in a human body is precious, so do not wait any longer. Everyone must actively strive to correct themselves and actively purify themselves. Do not miss this magnificent Causal Condition to know the Buddha.
I am grateful for the of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, for it is through them that the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and the Western Land of Dharma Nature exist today. The Buddha said not to be attached to the form of the Buddha, but to learn from the Buddha. This is the truth; everyone must remember this. Namo Amituofo."
