Mr. Guan Jun: (Weeping) I am afraid that you might not understand what I am saying...

Venerable Fa Xi: Namo Amituofo. Do not worry. Under the of the Buddha, I will be able to hear and understand everything you wish to express. Please, speak freely. Namo Amituofo.

The Agony of the Unseen Realm

Mr. Guan Jun: I am Guan Jun. Thank you for rescuing me. I have lived such a miserable life in the underworld! All the offerings made to me in the human world were completely inaccessible to me because I lacked the power to receive them. In that dark place, I was merely a soul that everyone wanted to strike, and I was constantly forced to report to the halls of the hells. During my life, I never understood the true meaning of repenting. When others scolded or shouted at me, I would become angry. However, the retribution I suffered there every single day was real and relentless. I was so weary and in such deep pain!

When I tried to call out to you, you could not hear me. You did not know that I was suffering after death, while some of my peers were still enjoying their lives in the human world. My elderly wife carries such sorrow in her heart, yet she, too, does not understand these truths. She has her own ideas and her own stubbornness. Having lived as husband and wife for so many years, I understand her mind intimately. Our family appeared wealthy, and we held a prestigious status in Hong Kong, but our home was never truly peaceful. Many turbulent and unfortunate events occurred. Now, with so many issues surrounding our children, and with you, my wife, being the one who understands the communication with the spirits, our home has been far from tranquil. Yet, today, I have finally seen the light.

The Warmth of True

On the day I was invited out, I was deeply moved because I saw the Buddha. Practitioner Su’s hands were so warm; he reached out and lifted my frail body up. I arrived in the human world, but you could not see me. I was brought to the Western Land of Nature, where they told me this is a place to prepare for the journey to the of Ultimate Bliss. What does this mean? In truth, I did not understand at all. It was only after the entire Dharma assembly was completed, and I witnessed so many inconceivable skills and saw the true Buddhas coming to lead beings, helping them leave suffering behind and find happiness through rebirth in the Western Pure Land, that I finally understood what is real.

We spent our entire lives chasing wealth and a comfortable existence, but we never knew how to grasp what truly matters. Now that we are old, and I have passed away, it is fortunate that this place reached out to pull me up. Otherwise, I would never have had the chance to see you again, and our lives would have drifted further apart. This is the tragedy of our existence.

The Deception of False Deities

When death arrived, I had no way to resist it. We worshipped so many deities in our home, but when I died, not a single one came to protect me. I saw them, but they did not come to help. Now I know that they were merely ghost kings, not the benevolent beings we believed them to be. At that time, I felt such resentment and hatred. What kind of gods were they? They consumed so many of our offerings and received so much from us, yet when I needed help, no one came. Now I realize they cannot master their own fates. They only came to the human world and to our home out of greed, needing our offerings because their lives in the underworld were slightly better than ours. Even though they seemed so responsive, they were powerless to help me in my hour of death.

A Call to Practice and

It is only after arriving here that I have seen the best people in the world. They are so capable, and with a simple gesture, they helped me! I am recuperating here, and my body is becoming younger. Do you remember how I looked when I was young? I did not fully understand this place at first, but as I followed along and chanted Namo Amituofo, my entire body felt so comfortable! You even set up a memorial tablet for me and performed for my many . After they were fed and saw the Western Pure Land, they hurried away. No one wants to seek revenge on me anymore because the world ahead is far better. Seven sessions of Chao Du have been performed, and three are already complete. I know I still have many beings to attend to, but here, my mind is becoming clearer. I know the things I did in the past were miserable, and I want to apologise to them, but perhaps my heart is not yet sincere enough, and they will not listen to me. However, I am safe here; they cannot approach me, though I can see them. Death is truly terrifying; without such powerful support, I would have no way to escape. It is truly frightening!

My wife, you do not have many days left. You know that death will eventually find you. We have already enjoyed the best wealth the world has to offer. You know best how your life is going now, and you know whether the children are listening to you. Now that you have encountered this place, you have seen the truth. My situation is one you could not have helped with; it was only by relying on this place that I could find peace. Our two children were also rescued here, and I have seen them. Although Wenhui’s situation is more difficult, it does not matter. I have great faith in this place because it is the power of the true Buddha. How many more chances will our family have to encounter such a good thing? You have seen it now; you should cherish it and help them walk a smooth path. I am happy to see the two grandchildren entrusted to them. I am glad that the Guan family still has a true legacy. I hope they can reach Awakening, which would be the greatest for their grandfather.

The Final Path to Purity

Whatever time you have left, entrust it all to Namo Amituofo. He will protect you. Do not be greedy for any worldly things anymore; take them out and use them to support good deeds! Clean up the house, and with what remains, do more charitable work. I know your time is short, but you do not need to suffer anymore, and I will be here waiting for you. Please perform more Chao Du for me, and help the spirits attached to your body to be sent to the Western Pure Land as well! I hope that while the world can still be resolved, you will practise diligently, purify your body, mind, and spirit, and help your descendants walk a smooth path. This is something you can do, and only you can do it. You are the final opportunity to resolve the issues in our home. I see that this place was supported by our relatives, which is truly remarkable. I am so happy that we had such good affinity. A good daughter-in-law is truly a blessing! Practise well; I hope to see you grow. The loss of our son caused you great sorrow, but now that you have found this place, you have become happier. Practise well, and let go of everything in the world that should be released.

My daughter, your face has been full of worry, but coming here has finally brought you some relief. Practise well, find your true self, and do not be led by the world anymore. Do more good deeds. If you have time, you can go to Australia and take your daughter with you. Do not stay in this world; it is too painful! If you can do this, you will be awakened. I hope you can come to Australia and watch me be reborn in the Western Pure Land. I want you to go to the Western Pure Land as well. I hope you will listen to these words.

I will not say too much more. My wife will know these are my words; she will recognise them. Thank you all. I am very happy now, and I hope we can all be together soon. Namo Amituofo.
