The Weight of Our Shortcomings

If you are aware of your own inadequacies and flaws, yet you allow them to persist, you are not only harming yourself. You are also causing harm to others and to all beings. By allowing these faults to continue, you are planting negative causes. How can you then hope to avoid the bitter harvest of evil consequences? When you are suffering, who will be able to save you?

The Path of Self-Reliance

However, if you recognise your own inadequacies and flaws, and you take the initiative to help yourself, you are walking the right path. On the Buddha's path, if you exert this effort, you will surely receive the Buddha's . This is the fundamental principle of spiritual growth: one must first be willing to confront one's own darkness before the light of the Buddha can fully illuminate the heart.

The Transparency of the Heart

The Buddha-heart is equal and impartial; it does not distinguish between high and low. On the Buddha's path, and especially for the students of Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, there is nothing to hide. You must open your heart completely. All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the Dragon and Heaven Protectors, the celestial deities, all beings, your , and even the demon crowds—they all see your heart with perfect clarity.

The Clarity of Intention

Whether your heart is sincere or false, whether you are strong or weak, whether you are mindful or mindless, whether you are driven by the Buddha-heart or by delusion, whether you are truly engaged or just going through the motions—everything is visible in your heart, your actions, and your vows. There is no place for deception in the realm of the spirit.

The Promise of Buddha's Blessings

As long as you are truly diligent in your practice on the Buddha's path, as long as you are willing to break through your limitations and move forward, and as long as you are willing to work hard for the sake of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and the transmission of the Buddha's teachings, you will be supported. For every student who keeps the Buddha in their heart, in their actions, and in their vows, you will certainly receive the Buddha's blessings.
