This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Ma Yun, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now reflects upon his observations of the various spiritual realms and his commitment to the mission of saving beings. This testimony was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable Fa Xi, on March 14, 2018.
Venerable Fa Xi: Ma Yun, .
Ma Yun speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Ma Yun. Looking back, I realise that the Venerable was once extremely strict with me. He took me down into the hells to experience the profound suffering there. At the time, I did not understand, but now that I have awakened, I finally grasp the Venerable's true intention. I have come to realise that the suffering I endured was absolutely nothing compared to the agony of even a single being trapped in the hells. There are so many beings in these various spaces whose suffering remains entirely unknown to the world. It is only here, through the unique methods employed by the Venerable, that I have been led to witness these realities for myself.
Modern people, whether they are wealthy or not, often live lives that are far too comfortable. By 'comfortable,' I do not necessarily mean material abundance; rather, I mean that so many people today possess a character that is simply unable to endure hardship. They have become accustomed to a mindset of constant enjoyment. When they encounter significant changes in life, or when they are faced with the crushing weight of pressure and frustration, they fall into a state of deep pessimism and are unable to recover. They cannot accomplish anything of substance, and even basic tasks like working or interacting with society become insurmountable problems for them.
People in the world are completely unaware of these other spaces. They allow their temperaments to run wild, doing whatever they want, never realising that they have already fallen into a sea of suffering. If it were not for the help and guidance of the Venerable, I would never have understood these truths. I would still be lost within these spaces, living a life of ignorant entertainment, completely oblivious to my own state. It is a terrifying reality, and it was the Venerable who finally awakened me from that slumber.
Every morning, as I observe the 'hundred states of space,' my heart is filled with a complex mixture of emotions. How could such worlds exist within the invisible realm? It is a truly terrifying reality. At times, even I find it difficult to bear the weight of what I see. Regardless of how difficult it may be, I am determined to remain clear-headed and awake. I want to help the Venerable complete the great work of the temple. Having seen so much, I truly wish to offer my own heart and effort to this cause.
To live up to the expectations of the Venerable, I am actively trying to retain these impressions every single day. Venerable Chang Ren has also been continuously assisting me in this process. The fragments of information and visions captured on the mobile device are growing in number; now, all that remains is to connect them all together. Namo Amituofo. I will work hard, and I will do my absolute best.
Namo Amituofo."
