The Infinite Treasure Within
Within the Boundless Heart, there resides an immeasurable and boundless store of Wisdom (Prajna), virtues, and auspicious characteristics. It contains the infinite within the infinite. The Boundless Heart of the Buddha possesses the power to save countless suffering beings. But what of you, my children? You, too, possess this same Boundless Heart, and you also have the potential to save countless suffering beings.
However, you may ask: where is this Boundless Heart now? Why does it seem so distant? The countless suffering beings are still waiting to be saved, and your Boundless Heart remains within your true self. It has not vanished; it is simply covered by the layers of your worldly attachments, preventing it from manifesting in your daily life.
Embracing the Infinite Scope of Existence
The Boundless Heart is vast enough to encompass all beings throughout the universe. This infinite assembly of beings includes everything you encounter in your daily life:
- The objects you use every day
- The plants, trees, and flowers that surround you
- The sand, stones, and earth beneath your feet
- The people you interact with
- The infinite variety of beings within the six realms of existence
- All beings from this world and from countless other realms throughout the cosmos
The Boundless Heart is truly infinite and boundless. When your own heart is in sync with the Boundless Heart, you become one with the hearts of all beings. Because you are one with them, you can clearly understand and perceive the situations and conditions of these infinite beings.
The Mastery of Transforming the Environment
When you realise that you are one with all beings, you align yourself with the Boundless Heart. This state is defined by:
- for all who suffer
- Profound Wisdom (Prajna) that sees through illusions
- An all-encompassing mind-capacity
- Pure that arises from within
- The willingness to let go of all attachments
This heart is not bound by the physical body. It has the power to transform the countless cells within your own body and the hearts of the beings connected to you. Crucially, you must maintain this state without being influenced by the interference of these beings or the conditions of your own cells. To transform the environment rather than being transformed by it is the fundamental skill required to save beings.
Reclaiming Your Original Nature
If you allow yourself to be swayed by external conditions, your heart will become unstable, fluctuating with the situations of others. If your heart is not firm, how can you effectively save beings? How can you even begin to speak of saving countless suffering beings?
The Boundless Heart is not something you need to seek outside of yourself. Every single being possesses it, hidden deep within their true self. It is currently waiting for you to look within, to clear away the dust of delusion, and to reclaim it. Do not let this precious opportunity pass you by.
