This record documents an interview with the Jade Emperor regarding the event where Practitioner Su led the masses in praying for rain at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. This event took place on October 19, 2020, following the successful arrival of rain after a period of severe drought. The interview reflects upon the spiritual significance of the ceremony and the collective efforts of the community. This account was recorded by the editorial team at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

The Jade Emperor speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Rain is the lifeblood of the earth; it nourishes all living creatures and allows the land to flourish. We are all one, and when I witnessed the suffering of the sentient beings—the earth cracking under the relentless heat and the creatures gasping for moisture—my heart was moved. Practitioner Su, in his profound for all beings, saw this suffering and initiated the prayer for rain.

The Suffering of the Parched Earth

Because of his previous successful experiences in calling for rain, Practitioner Su understood that the drought was not merely a natural occurrence, but a manifestation of collective . It was a heavy, stifling energy that had settled over the land. With his immense Wisdom and quick, decisive action, he led the spirits of the land, the deceased, and the living community in chanting the name of Namo Amituofo. This was the key to dissolving the karmic obstacles that had blocked the heavens.

By utilising the power of his , and by aligning his intentions with the ancestral masters, Practitioner Su created a resonance of heart and mind that was truly powerful. It was a force of unity that moved the very heavens. The Wind God arrived first at the Buddha-land to notify the protectors that the rain was coming. Then, the Rain God followed, bringing the life-giving water. As Practitioner Su had requested, the rain fell during the night, ensuring that the daily lives and activities of the people were not disrupted. It was a display of perfect consideration and celestial harmony.

A Celestial Agreement for Future Needs

Looking ahead, if Practitioner Su is willing, I shall instruct the Rain God to attend the in the future. Whenever there is a genuine need for rain, Practitioner Su need only offer incense and inform me of the specific area, the location, and the required volume of rainfall. I will then issue the command for the rain to fall at the most appropriate time. However, I ask that during the dedication of merit, Practitioner Su specifically dedicates the merit towards the success of the rain-praying, so that the power of this merit may continue to accumulate. Furthermore, I request that the residents and the spirits of the land in the affected areas also join in chanting the Buddha-name, so that they may participate in transforming their own collective karma.

The Infinite Grace of Namo Amituofo

Regardless of the circumstances, it is the prestige and the boundless merit of the Buddha, the Bodhisattvas, and the ancestral masters that have enabled Practitioner Su to succeed in this prayer for rain. My position and the laws of heaven dictate that I must act in accordance with the principles of truth and righteousness. It is only right that I support such noble efforts.

The compassion of the Buddha is truly infinite. Namo Amituofo is here to save the world, and his presence, abiding right here in Goombungee, Australia, is a blessing beyond measure. Countless sentient beings, both in the visible world and the unseen realms, are receiving the benefits of the Dharma. This is a supreme grace, and all the celestial deities and spirits are working in unison to support this mission.

Namo Amituofo."
