This is a record of an interview with the spirit known as the Demon of Suffering Death, who was involved in the spread of the pandemic. He was brought to the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia for deliverance. This account reflects his experiences during the pandemic and his subsequent capture. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on August 9, 2021.

The Demon of Suffering Death speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am the one they call the Demon of Suffering Death. I do not need to find a reason to intrude into any space; the moment I manifest, it is a clear sign that the person I have targeted is not far from death. Let me tell you, I do not bring immediate death the moment I appear. No, that would be far too simple. Instead, I make sure they realise that their end is coming. I watch them as they descend into panic and utter despair—this is the game I love to play with those in the human world. When I see the terror in their eyes, I feel as though they finally understand. They finally grasp the depth of my own agony, for I, too, was once a victim of such unbearable suffering."

The Game of Panic

"This time, I chose to participate in The Pandemic: A Message from Namo Amituofo because this virus allows for such rapid, efficient death. It fits my methods of control perfectly. Think about it—there are so many people in this world who are terrified of dying, and I have been waiting to watch their pathetic struggles. This event, which has spiralled so far out of control, is currently in full swing. We have each staked out our own territories, moving with incredible speed to claim our prizes.

When I first heard the news echoing through the spiritual space that someone was attempting to save the world from this crisis, I felt a jolt of shock. I was not certain if it was true, or if anyone truly possessed such power. In that state of uncertainty, I led my demon children and grandchildren to accelerate the spread of the virus. I even took it upon myself to research and develop mutated viruses. I was constantly locking onto targets within the spiritual space, demanding that they be infected and face their demise immediately."

The Pandemic as a Battlefield

"Since the beginning of this, I have personally transmitted the virus to five hundred thousand people, and another two hundred thousand have already perished. We intend to increase this number, again and again. The higher the number, the greater my sense of achievement; it is a testament to the legacy of the Demon of Suffering Death.

Although I did not specifically compete with other demon crowds, I constantly instilled a sense of urgency in my demon children and grandchildren. I told them that this was their golden opportunity to shine—that they must exert their full power, or else their entry into the demon path would have been in vain. Some of them, spurred on by my words, began to weave through the crowds with frantic speed, locking onto their targets with ruthless precision."

The Encounter at the Centre

"Just as everything was proceeding so smoothly, the spiritual space once again broadcasted that someone was working to resolve the conflict. This time, the entire atmosphere of the great space shifted, and a different magnetic field emerged. It looked like a dire situation, so I led my demon children and grandchildren on a rapid search. We found this place, and I charged in with all my might. I wanted to tell this person who dared to interfere to mind their own business, or they would suffer the consequences.

My speed was unmatched, my ferocity absolute. I pushed through layer after layer of those who tried to block my path. Just as I was about to plant the virus and truly show my power, I was stunned by a massive, booming voice that shouted: 'Who has entered?' That shout was louder than anything we could ever produce. I stopped in my tracks instantly. When I tried to unleash my power, I found I could not. I was twisting my body, roaring with all my strength, trying to break through, but it was useless. My demon children and grandchildren, seeing my desperate reaction, were terrified. They tried to follow my lead, but our immense demonic power simply vanished into thin air."

A Powerless End

"I am trapped. I cannot accept this reality. I still have so many people marked for death, so many targets I have not yet claimed. I cannot be stuck here! At first, I was filled with rage, but now, I have calmed down somewhat. Yet, in my heart, I am still thinking: my abilities should not be limited to this place. I want to get out.

Everything here is so alien to me. I feel as though I am no longer the being I once was. Namo Amituofo."
