This is a record of an interview with Feng Yuehua, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the ghost realm to the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on November 15, 2025.
Lay Practitioner Feng Yuehua speaks:
". I am Feng Yuehua. Lu O, my dear, I am so incredibly happy right now. I have finally arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is such a magnificent place—it is vast, incredibly bright, and fills the heart with such peace and . Here, I have forgotten all my sorrows and worries. There is no physical pain or illness of any kind. This is the place where I am meant to reside, and it is absolutely wonderful, truly wonderful.
From Darkness to Radiant Light
The days I spent as a ghost were truly dark and sunless. My life was shrouded in gloom, and because my own were limited, I was relegated to the ghost realm. I never imagined that after you performed the Chao Du for me, such a monumental change would occur. At first, I did not even know who possessed such great ability to bring me from the ghost realm to the temple. Later, I realised that it was Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su who saved me.
During the assembly, I heard your name and witnessed your life at the temple. Only then did I understand that you had travelled from our hometown to this place to serve the masses. My heart feels so comforted. This is a place where Namo Amituofo resides. Because you have this noble intention, you have saved not only yourself but also us."
A Wisdom Born of Devotion
"When you were at home, you were always so sensible and wise. It is no surprise that the work you are doing now is also filled with such profound wisdom! I have always believed in the existence of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Although I never spoke of it openly, that was always what I held in my heart. In our hometown, many things could not be spoken of clearly, so I had to keep them buried within. Because I held onto these things, I knew that after I passed away, I would not go to a very good place. That was something I understood all too well.
But the times have changed, and the conditions have shifted. Through your filial piety, you have saved your mother-in-law. It can be said that our ancestors had virtue. In the past, I would never have spoken of these things so easily; one careless word could have been used against me. But now, I can speak my heart completely. Since I am no longer in the human world, I have no fear of being judged or targeted. Thank you, my dear, for performing the Chao Du for your mother-in-law."
A Heart Unburdened
"This place, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, is truly a magnificent realm. The sky here is incredibly bright—it is nothing like the sky we knew in the human world. Furthermore, this is a place of harmony and peace. There is no need for any defensiveness or self-protection here, so my heart has finally relaxed and opened up completely.
Thank you. That is all I can say to express the gratitude within my heart. Most of all, I must thank Namo Amituofo, thank Practitioner Su, and thank everyone. Lu O, continue your good work. Our time here is limited, and this is our way of repaying the kindness that Namo Amituofo has shown us. We Chinese people always say that one must repay kindness; this is a virtue that should be reclaimed. Once again, thank you, Namo Amituofo, thank you, Practitioner Su, and thank you to everyone."
