The Deliverance of Wang Fuyin: From Hell to the Western Pure Land

This is a record of an interview with Wang Fuyin, the father of Lay Practitioner Wang Fang. After passing away, he suffered in the hells due to his past karmic actions. Through the Chao Du performed by his daughter at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, he was saved by the compassion of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account was recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on April 10, 2026.

Lay Practitioner Wang Fuyin speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Ha! Today, I, Wang Fuyin, have ascended to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—this magnificent, dignified Pure Land of the Buddha. My heart is filled with such immense joy and satisfaction at this very moment. I have been bowing to Namo Amituofo, expressing my deepest gratitude, and no matter how many times I bow, I simply do not want to stop. It is all just too overwhelming; the gratitude is simply too great to contain.

Namo Amituofo is of such great compassion. Today, He has led nine of us deceased spirits to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Such a thing is truly difficult for people in the human world to believe, but I have indeed been blessed with the tremendous blessing of being led by the Buddha. All of this is also thanks to my child who is still in the human world. I know that my daughter has been studying the Dharma for quite some time now, and she registered for a Chao Du ceremony for her father at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. As Practitioner Su has said, this is truly an event that is difficult to encounter in millions of years.

The Agony of Hell and the Weight of Karma

I never expected that after my death, I would have to endure retribution in the hells. Now, the time I spent suffering that retribution has been significantly shortened. If it were not for the salvation of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, I fear that the days of enduring punishment in hell would have been truly endless. I dare not imagine it, and I dare not even think about it, because it was absolutely excruciating—too painful, far too painful! Recalling that suffering now still tears at my heart and lungs. It had completely stripped me of all hope; I truly believed I would be trapped in hell forever, unable to distinguish day from night, just repeating the same torturous punishments over and over again.

I hope that people in the human world can feel this suffering and become vigilant. Do not think that you must have committed heinous crimes—like killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, or lying—or that you must have committed murder or arson in the human world to fall into hell. If you are biased in your ways or possess a very intense, volatile personality, you are actually very much in sync with the hells. Beyond being in sync with the hells, you will also attract countless karmic creditors from your own body to awaken and seek revenge against you.

The Testimony of the Karmic Creditors

When their formal complaints arrived in the hells, I looked at them and truly did not dare to utter a single word in my defence. When King Yama ordered me to undergo the retribution directly, I did not dare to say a second word. The stack of complaints was so high. I knew that during my life, I had a bad personality and was always prone to losing my temper. Such a personality inevitably caused many beings to awaken; especially since, throughout my many lives, I had caused harm to others due to my intense personality. These victimised beings were then able to seize this opportunity to seek revenge against me.

Especially when a person reaches old age and their vitality weakens, the situation where these beings take control becomes even more severe. That is exactly what happened to me in my later years. I have walked the path of old age, sickness, and death, and I have experienced it all—I know it clearly and distinctly.

A Transformation in the Dharma-Nature Land

However, I never expected that after arriving at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, this brief period of purification would elevate me so much. I have become a completely different person. Whether it is my temperament or my personality, I no longer resemble the person I was in the mundane world. In the Western Land of Dharma Nature, my heart is also very calm and beautiful.

Because of this, I have always yearned to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, to truly be by the Buddha's side. It was just that the matter of having fallen into hell was truly difficult to speak of. Today, I have summoned all my courage to report this to everyone during this interview. I sincerely hope that everyone can become vigilant: if you can let go of the various attachments and feelings of the human world sooner, then do so. If you wait too long to let go, you are the only one who will suffer.

A Final Message to My Daughter

At this very moment, I have truly and genuinely returned to the seat of Namo Amituofo. I can listen to the sutras, hear the Dharma, and chant Namo Amituofo and perform prostrations to the Buddha every day. This is truly the most wonderful thing imaginable. I can go wherever I wish, and whatever food I desire appears before me, but it seems I no longer have any great desires. I can no longer feel that intense, grasping heart I had when I was alive—that intense heart truly killed me, and it also harmed too many others.

In this moment of letting go, I have truly let out a sigh of relief. Because what the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss brings to everyone is simply pure Goodness and purity. There is no longer any of the various pollution found in the human world. This place is truly where all the superior beings gather in one place. All this kindness and beauty make it impossible for me to even give rise to a single thought of my old personality or evil intentions.

My heart is now filled with gratitude. I am grateful for the Buddha's compassion, and I am grateful for Practitioner Su's compassion for giving me this opportunity to accept this interview.

Finally, I want to thank my daughter, Wang Fang, once again. I also want to tell her: Father knows that you are studying the Dharma, following Namo Amituofo and the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. To study the Dharma, you must study it thoroughly and completely. Do not be half-hearted, and do not have any hesitations. Go straight forward; that is the only way you can truly benefit yourself and all the beings in the world! You are more aware than I am of the fact that Namo Amituofo has come to this world, so you must truly seize this opportunity. Seize the time while you still possess a human body to properly change your personality, your emotional entanglements, and your subjectivity. Do not walk your father's old path. Absolutely do not have any anger, and do not have any thoughts of arrogance.

Father's old path was truly and genuinely full of suffering, but now, it has truly and genuinely become bright. I am grateful to Namo Amituofo, and I am grateful to Practitioner Su. I am grateful for all these Causal Conditions. I hope everyone will return to the seat of Namo Amituofo as soon as possible and find their true self.
