Zhu Xiaoming speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Zhu Xiaoming. I have finally arrived at the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss to report my arrival. The world of spirits is truly extraordinary; I never imagined the transition from having a physical body to becoming a spirit would be so profound. At the time, I was absolutely shocked. After I left the human world, I looked back and saw my own physical body still lying there, while my spirit had already emerged. It was only then that I truly realised I had departed from the human world.
The Truth of Human Life
My family members were busy taking care of everything for me. I could see it all so clearly from where I was, yet I was unable to say a single word to them. This is the harsh truth of human life—it is quite sorrowful when you think about it. I do not remember the events of the past very clearly anymore; time has passed, and it has truly been a very long time. Now that I have arrived in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, my first priority is to express my deepest gratitude to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for their great in guiding me here. Such kindness is something I, Xiaoming, could never repay.
I know that the Buddha comes to this world specifically to save us. I am incredibly fortunate because my granddaughter registered me for Chao Du, which gave me the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land and finally connect with the Buddha. Looking back, I was once a person with an affinity for the Buddha’s gate, but in that lifetime, I failed to grasp the preciousness of my human body. I never had the chance to encounter such a magnificent Dharma as that of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and so I left the human world in such a hurried and unprepared state.
The Endless Cycle of Samsara
For decades, living as a spirit in that realm was, to be honest, incredibly boring and uninteresting. I felt as though I had no purpose at all, and I could not truly govern myself. This is the tragedy of the human world. After people pass away, if they are not suffering the consequences of their actions, they are simply living in various places as spirits, trapped in the cycle of samsara, turning endlessly without any rest. So many people are trapped within this, never finding a way to escape. Ah, I am truly, truly fortunate!
Everything about this is so mysterious. I am also deeply grateful to my granddaughter, Zhang Fan; thank you for remembering me, your grandfather. Watching everything in the human world, and seeing that you have come to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, fills my heart with such comfort. There are so few people in our vast population of China who have the chance to encounter the true Dharma, yet you are so fortunate to have the opportunity to learn such a magnificent teaching.
The Path of True Practice
This is a very special and magnificent occurrence, and you must cherish it deeply. Once you have started learning the Buddha’s teachings, do not let your mind wander; just practise honestly and that is all you need to do. If you have too many afflictions, it simply means you have not yet truly entered the Buddha’s gate and have not truly begun to cultivate your inner heart. Remember, learning the Buddha’s Dharma starts from within. You must remove all the dust from your heart before you have the chance to slowly purify, and purify again. Only then can you see the truth and see it more clearly—this is the true meaning of learning the Buddha’s teachings.
If your practice does not allow you to end the cycle of birth and death or transcend the three realms, then it is not true practice. But you now have this Buddhist affinity and these , which have granted you this opportunity. You must cherish it, and cherish it again. If you have the chance, you should visit the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to see this place—it is where I once stayed. Everything here is truly a Pure Land on Earth that you will never find anywhere else in the human world.
The Brilliance of the Centre
From the perspective of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss or the Western Land of Dharma Nature, one can see that this is the most luminous and radiant place on Earth because the Buddha resides here. The sky above this place is ever-changing and mysterious; many beings often come here seeking Chao Du. I could see this clearly when I was in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. In particular, the Chao Du work that Practitioner Su has recently been conducting across the land of China is truly breathtaking; I am in absolute awe!
Practitioner Su has countless manifestations and can simultaneously save a vast number of beings. So many beings seem to pour into the Western Land of Dharma Nature like a great flood. At the time, I wondered to myself: 'Why does the Land of Dharma Nature never become overcrowded?' But later, I understood that the Buddha’s vow is so vast that no matter how many beings enter, it can maintain its current state. I felt relieved then; I no longer needed to worry about whether the Land of Dharma Nature was large enough, haha!
A State of Ultimate Peace
I am so grateful to you for giving me such a precious opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land, allowing me to tell you everything I have seen here. As for the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, it goes without saying—it is truly, truly magnificent, and words cannot describe it. It is a world where every wish is fulfilled, and here, my heart does not move at all. If it were not for the fact that I had to write this letter and share these reflections, I could remain without a single thought arising. This is a place of such coolness and ease; it is impossible to have even the slightest affliction here. Everyone can imagine such a beautiful state, can they not?
Namo Amituofo.
