The Legacy of Master Chengyuan

Master Chengyuan was a native of Sichuan during the Tang Dynasty. He received the full monastic at the age of twenty-four and dedicated his life to the ascetic practice of chanting the name of Namo Amituofo. He lived a life of extreme simplicity, consuming only one meal a day and wearing coarse clothing. To ensure that the method of chanting would be passed down to future generations, he frequently travelled to crowded areas, painting the holy name of Namo Amituofo on alley walls and rocks. By doing so, he encouraged passersby to chant, thereby saving countless people. He also provided scriptures to help others understand the vital importance of this practice, bringing peace and comfort to all who came to learn from him.

Master Chengyuan offers these teachings: The Buddha’s teachings flourish as the is transmitted. In this Dharma-ending age, chanting the Buddha’s name transforms into the True Teachings. The Pure Land is the foundation of the praise of Namo Amituofo. Practitioner Su has made a true vow to save all beings from suffering. Through Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance, the pandemic is resolved. The higher realms are opened, and the lower realms of hell are emptied of suffering. Today, Practitioner Su manifests the power of the Buddha, calling for rain to save beings and healing all illnesses. Namo Amituofo, the King of Physicians, reveals His true traces. Leaders of all nations have taken up their responsibilities, hearing the name and coming to see Namo Amituofo.

The Power of Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance

I am deeply grateful to Practitioner Su for giving me the opportunity to connect with the public. During every , I am present, joining the ancestral masters and venerable ones in leading the assembly to chant. We participate alongside Practitioner Su’s chanting team to rescue the spirits affected by the pandemic. When Practitioner Su performs the Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance, he manifests in countless billions of forms, just as the Buddha does. He reaches out to the spirits in the vast expanse of space, leading them to chant Namo Amituofo loudly and clearly.

As I observed this, I realised that many of these spirits were my own disciples from over one thousand two hundred years ago. Seeing my past students and followers chanting in the vastness of space confirmed what Practitioner Su has often said: by opening up the dimensions of space, every spirit in every realm is given the opportunity to chant the Buddha’s name sincerely. The most subtle and profound aspect of this work is Practitioner Su’s vow to save all beings on Earth today. He works tirelessly to resolve the pandemic and restore international travel, seizing every possible Causal Condition for because Namo Amituofo is always present.

Healing the Earth and Resolving the Pandemic

Practitioner Su ascends into the clouds, leading the Four Heavenly Kings, the Bodhisattvas of the universe, the Bodhisattvas of the Milky Way, the new Buddha-disciples, and the chanting team to perform the Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance. This mission has spanned across Mainland China, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, before returning to Australia. He has brought the light of the Buddha to Toowoomba, Goombungee, Canberra, and across the entire Australian continent, including every blade of grass and every tree, inviting them all to chant together.

I have witnessed Practitioner Su inviting every inch of Australian soil, every grain of sand, and every living thing to join in the chanting. Because he frequently leads his team to sweep through various locations with the sound of the Buddha’s name, the spirits in these areas have become very familiar with the practice. The Buddha-name resonates deeply with them. As the sound of chanting fills every corner, even the smallest insects and creatures join in. The spirits of flowers, grasses, and trees sway their forms in rhythm with the chanting. Through this sincere practice, these spirits are transformed: some attain Buddhahood, some are reborn in the heavenly realms, and others reincarnate as humans. This is truly moving to behold.

The Transformation of Demons and the of Humanity

During the recent deliverance in Mainland China, I saw Practitioner Su begin his work from the great mountains, including Mount Huang, Mount Tai, Mount Emei, Mount Changbai, and Mount Wutai. All the mountain deities were deeply moved, joyfully joining in the chanting. After paying their respects to Practitioner Su, they led all the flora, fauna, and spirits of the stones and insects to chant with him. At that moment, the Buddha-light shone down, illuminating every mountain. Namo Amituofo, in His infinite , received the spirits of the mountains and purified the entire landscape.

To resolve the pandemic, Practitioner Su urged them to chant with absolute sincerity. I saw some mountain deities weeping as they chanted—a scene that moved heaven and earth. It is clear that all beings, whether sentient or insentient, possess a spiritual nature. For the sake of this Earth, they are all chanting with great compassion. Humanity has hope! At that time, I heard the demon crowds crying out in alarm, asking who had devised such a strategy, fearing they would soon have no place to stand and would be destroyed. The new Buddha-disciples laughed and replied, "Come, join us in chanting! Chanting Namo Amituofo is the only right path!" Many of the demon children and grandchildren immediately surrendered and began to chant. Even the viruses of the pandemic, which were in a state of lethargy, awoke upon hearing the Buddha-name, began to chant, and were received by the Buddha, vanishing without a trace. The pandemic is being resolved.

A Call to Universal Compassion

Practitioner Su is renowned for his Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance, particularly his ability to guide spirits to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss with ease. This is the result of the merits he has accumulated through his practice over many lifetimes. Today, while nations around the world are at a loss as to how to handle the pandemic, Practitioner Su conducts these ceremonies. Every spirit that has encountered him knows that this deliverance is a call to chant, to help resolve the global pandemic, and to dissolve the suffering of our collective . It is also a means to save the global economy by restoring international travel. Such feats are beyond the reach of ordinary people; they must be performed in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, ensuring the Earth gradually returns to its proper path.

Human hearts must be adjusted toward Goodness; we must cease our selfishness and greed. This global pandemic is a wake-up call for humanity. We are all part of a single, shared life. As Practitioner Su has taught, those who study the Buddha’s teachings must cultivate a sense of oneness. If we can remain pure and kind, if we can think good thoughts, speak good words, and perform good deeds, we can protect our beautiful Earth. Since I first encountered the Pure Land method and adopted the state of deep peace and wisdom as my core practice, my only goal has been to save sentient beings. I now understand that the Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance of the Pure Land school possesses a boundless, vast compassion. Practitioner Su’s willingness to bear the suffering of beings is a true manifestation of the Forty-eight Great Vows of Namo Amituofo. I am filled with deep admiration and respect.

Namo Amituofo.
