The Guiding Teacher in Delusion

The Veils of Illusion and the Nature of Delusion

What is meant by delusion? It is the state of not understanding the true reality of existence. We take the illusory as real and recognize the false as true, and because of this, we suffer endlessly within the cycle of rebirth. We search for a way to resolve our suffering, yet we cannot find it. We seek to be saved, yet we find no one to save us. Since time immemorial, we have wandered in this state of confusion. When will we finally be able to leave this realm of delusion, break through delusion and attain enlightenment?

The Compassion of the Guiding Teacher

Namo Amituofo, the Guiding Teacher in Delusion, sees that sentient beings are trapped in suffering, lacking the strength to liberate themselves. We are lost in delusion, yet we do not even know that we are lost. To resolve this suffering and to shatter this deep-seated confusion, Namo Amituofo established the Forty-eight Great Vows. Every single one of these vows is dedicated to saving beings, helping them leave suffering behind, and guiding them out of the realm of delusion so that they may enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, the Pure Buddha Land.

The Sanctuary of Hsiang Kuang

When beings enter the Buddha Land, that is the moment they are truly saved. Within the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, in a realm where one only receives all happiness and is free from all suffering, one can rediscover their true self-nature amidst Infinite Life and Infinite Light, and ultimately attain Buddhahood. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, is the place where Namo Amituofo truly abides. Led by the Guiding Teacher in Delusion, Namo Amituofo, along with the Teacher and Practitioner Su, the fourfold assembly of disciples here engages in diligent practice. We operate according to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, moving steadily toward breaking through delusion and attaining enlightenment.
