This is a record of the twenty-seventh letter from Venerable Master Wei Chueh, who now resides in the . He reflects upon his life as a monastic and the profound reality of spiritual deliverance he has witnessed from the perspective of the beyond. This testimony was recorded by the disciple Shi Faxi on July 13, 2017.

Venerable Master Wei Chueh speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Does the heart beneath the kasaya truly align with the ? This set of robes, specifically designed for monastics, is a sacred mantle. When one dons it, how does one truly measure whether they are fulfilling their role? How does one quantify such a duty? In truth, this is a form of work, and the titles one might hold are numerous: a propagator of the Dharma in the religious sphere, an educator, a psychologist, and so on. Yet, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has truly added the role of a 'healer' to this list. This role is quite distinct from the doctors of the mundane world, for it follows an entirely different path. If you wish to understand more, I truly encourage you to come and witness it for yourself. You will find evidence that is absolutely inconceivable."

The Limits of Worldly Medicine

"When it comes to the treatment of illness—medication, injections, surgery, chemotherapy—there are so many ways to intervene. For the patient, these treatments often bring immense suffering. Yet, for the sake of healing, for the sake of survival, one must endure them. No matter how painful it is, one must be obedient and follow the doctor's orders. I have seen so many people ground down by illness until they were unrecognisable, yet they clung to life with such strength. At that time, I did not have many ways to assist them. The only thing I could lead them toward was the support of religion, so that at least their hearts could find a place of refuge. Beyond that, I felt I could do little else but offer a smile or words of encouragement. My ability to help was truly limited. Most people, in those moments, still rely on the power of medicine, and they carry out their medical treatments faithfully. At that time, I, too, believed in choosing medicine."

The Reality of

"Now, from where I am, I can see a different way, and it is truly magnificent. Because my status has changed and I am no longer in the world, I can see things much more clearly. Therefore, I believe in everything I see before me: the invitation of spirits and the genuine resolution of conflicts with karmic creditors. Time and again, I have watched as these karmic creditors emerge from the memorial tablets, filled with deep-seated resentment and hatred. I have seen them occupying specific diseased areas of a practitioner's body. I was so astonished—I could see it all so clearly! And when these karmic creditors are mediated and their grievances are resolved, the clouds part, the sun shines, and the illness vanishes as if it had never happened at all. If one had relied solely on medicine, they might still be in the recovery phase. I have also seen many who manipulate the flow of brain waves, causing people to do things without realising it, or obstructing their practice. I see this very clearly. This reality is quite terrifying. If a person does not practise, what value do they have? These forces are pulling the strings of your every action, and you are completely unaware of it. Everyone is the same; no one is exempt, because everyone has . Those who wish to collect their debts are waiting with their own unique affinities. I have heard that they, too, require channels like the Yama kings to lodge their complaints. This is the truth, and it is what I have seen with my own eyes. These karmic creditors are also suffering beings, and I have discovered that their suffering is even greater than that of any living person."

A Plea for and Practice

"If you have come into this world, and there are those who have been waiting for you for thousands or even tens of thousands of years, and you lack the ability to save them from the suffering of the cycle of rebirth, they continue to suffer because of you. Should we not be compassionate? To save beings with compassion is something we must achieve. This is my sincere counsel. If you wait until you reach the state I am in now, it will be too late. I only see them suffering, yet I am powerless to help. This feeling is deeply painful. I hope everyone can avoid missing the magnificence of this Dharma affinity. Believe in these true principles of the Dharma. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a place where true healers exist. If you can come, that would be truly wonderful. I hope everyone can achieve true . Namo Amituofo. The beings of this world are suffering too much."

"Namo Amituofo."
