The Heart-Words of Namo Amituofo
Teachings from Namo Amituofo as Transcribed by Venerable Hai Yuan
Recorded on February 25, 2024, at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre

Thus have I heard, and thus I share with you the sacred words of the Buddha. All the teachings recorded in the past, and those being written today, are the direct words of Namo Amituofo. They have been received and transcribed by Venerable Hai Yuan at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. You should receive these words with complete faith and without a single trace of doubt.
The Heart’s True Home
In this vast sea of humanity and throughout the infinite Realm, where does your heart truly belong? If your heart has no home, no place of rest, you will inevitably encounter restlessness, imbalance, and suffering. How can you hope to escape these cycles of pain if your heart remains adrift? To find your way, you must understand the following:
- The source of suffering:
- Restlessness and imbalance arise when the heart lacks a firm foundation in the Truth. The necessity of faith:
- Without a home for the heart, one is easily swayed by the winds of the six realms of rebirth. The path to peace: By anchoring your heart in the teachings of Namo Amituofo, you can leave suffering behind and find true happiness.
The Obstacle of Doubt
If you find yourself harbouring doubts, you must turn inward and ask yourself: How deep is my faith in the Buddha? It is precisely because your faith is not yet firm that doubt arises. The words of the Buddha, in every single phrase and sentence, are intended to counsel you toward the Truth and help you realise the true nature of reality. They are not the illusions that a doubting mind perceives.
The Path to
You must engage in sincere repenting for your past words and actions. You must adjust your character and purify your heart. If you do not, your practice will remain merely superficial. How can you hope to enter the Buddha-heart, or even begin to speak of becoming an awakened being, if your heart is not aligned with the Truth? The Truth of the Buddha’s teachings and the ultimate reality of the universe flow directly from the heart of Namo Amituofo. They are transmitted into the heart of Venerable Hai Yuan, and thus these words are recorded here at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
A Final Exhortation
Please, do not doubt. Those who doubt lose the greatest of benefits. To claim that these are not the words of the Buddha is to slander the Buddha, which is a grave error indeed. Have faith, and let your doubts dissolve forever. Namo Amituofo.
