The Infinite Compassion of Practitioner Su

Interviews with Spirits and Masters on the Work of Deliverance

Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre1 min read0 views

This is a record of interviews conducted on March 13, 2018, regarding the spiritual deliverance work performed by Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. These accounts reflect the experiences of various beings who have been guided toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Recorded by the chief writers of the Centre.

Lay Practitioner Yideng speaks:

"Today, Practitioner Su’s led us through various realms—some we had visited before, and others were entirely new. The reactions of the sentient beings were diverse. Some wandered about, looking lost, while others knelt in . When we saw this, our group would immediately point toward the light or help them stand, urging them to move forward toward the Western Pure Land. Such an opportunity is difficult to encounter in millions of years. This is our heartfelt truth, our personal realisation, and we sincerely hope that all who have the karmic affinity will take this chance to chant Namo Amituofo and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land. I discovered that those who knelt to worship had mostly encountered the Buddha’s teachings before and were suffering immensely. When they saw the Buddha-light and heard the Buddha-name, they intuitively knew that salvation had arrived. Their kneeling was a sincere expression of hope. This is how Practitioner Su saves sentient beings."

A Mother's Salvation

"Some beings remained motionless. I saw a child being led along who, upon seeing us, began to wail loudly. Perhaps our presence was too overwhelming and frightened the little one. The mother comforted the child, but in an instant, she seemed to realise something, picked up her child, and rushed forward. Both mother and child entered the Buddha-light and were saved! This journey of salvation, this deliverance of spirits, is immeasurable and boundless every single day. It is impossible to calculate. This is the work of Practitioner Su in saving sentient beings."

Steve Jobs speaks:

"Towering skyscrapers, crowded environments, and a hurried life—these unfulfilled desires often leave the heart feeling empty and restless. True happiness, the kind that comes from a genuine smile, seems buried under layers of pressure. This is the reality of many modern cities. The more developed the city, the more severe the problems within the human heart. This is a suffering that humanity is unaware of, because they are trapped within these spaces without knowing it. Look at the people on public transport; their faces are weary, their hands are glued to their phones, entering the private spaces of their devices. People have become too blind. In truth, what is needed is an education of peace of mind to fundamentally resolve these insatiable cravings. It is not that everyone wants to be this way; it is the environment that has shaped them so."

The Meaning of Life and Education

"This Buddhist education—this education of peace of mind—is about finding one's true self and helping others; only then can one find the true meaning of life. Modern education focuses on finding self-value, but Buddhist education teaches us to give of ourselves and to let go of . Several venerable masters have looked upon these modern phenomena with a sigh. They have become much clearer about the importance of promoting the Buddha’s teachings. They all have children and understand the severity of these issues and how they affect future generations. Promoting the true teachings of the Buddha at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is an indispensable task for helping this generation, and everyone should keep this in their hearts. Practitioner Su helps with the purification and of these masters every day, and the results are excellent. The day of our meeting is not far off."

Lay Practitioner Yinshun speaks:

"Today, Practitioner Su led everyone to care for the suffering of the human world. It is not that I, Yinshun, lack an international perspective, but rather, if one has no home or country, how can one look out at the world? This is the reality of the Sahā world. I have focused my attention on the more remote regions of China—Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Tibet. Because these are designated as autonomous regions, the central government has relatively less focus on them. The climate and the living habits of the residents there differ greatly from those in the Yangtze and Yellow River basins. For the average civilian, the acquisition, distribution, and use of resources make life very difficult. The vast grasslands and the scattered dwellings—the yurts—emit a strong, pungent odour because they cannot bathe frequently. In recent years, due to climate change, seasonal winds have carried Mongolian sand toward Beijing, causing severe sandstorms. The weather in Beijing can only be described as terrible."

The Truth Behind the Sandstorms

"For thousands of years, constant warfare has claimed the lives of countless generals, soldiers, and civilians, turning them into dust that drifts in the wind, becoming one with the land and mountains they once trampled. If not for Practitioner Su leading the fourfold assembly to break through space and time to visit these places, no one would know that these sandstorms are the result of war. How many poor soldiers are still trapped in space, endlessly re-enacting the same scenes? In the vast deserts of Xinjiang, how many camel caravans are still marching through space? If I, Yinshun, did not currently lack a physical body and possess the heavenly eye, I would never believe such things existed. The Tibetan people are always devout in their prostrations; how many faithful believers are still on their way to Lhasa, not knowing that they have long since passed away? I have learned here about the overlapping layers of space. Every flower, every blade of grass, every tree, and the entire physical world are transformations of spiritual . You must cherish the good you currently possess and achieve success, so that you may help the immeasurable and boundless sentient beings who need it throughout the Realm."

Lee Kuan Yew speaks:

"Purgatory, a place of burning—the human world today is just the same. The fires of greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, doubt, wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep—each one accelerates the burning of our already limited lifespan. Yet, very few people know this, and those who can believe it are even fewer. Under the guidance of Practitioner Su, the venerable masters have clearly seen that humanity is being consumed by these raging fires. It is like the boiling frog—the temperature is raised slowly, and by the time one discovers the situation, it is too late to turn back. Only with the of the Buddha can these flames be extinguished with the water of the Buddha, and only under the illumination of the Buddha-light can one be restored and purified. But these are not the ultimate solutions. One must cut off these thoughts at the source to escape the fires of hell. This requires constant listening to the scriptures and self-cultivation, and it requires a leader so one does not fall into one's own delusions. This is why Practitioner Su is so incredibly important in this degenerate age. The venerable masters understand that only one who has awakened to their true nature can lead the masses out of purgatory and back to the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Spread this method widely. Those with blessings will naturally believe this. Believe that this magnificent Dharma should be given more importance and promotion. Time is running out; you should be more diligent. I, Kuan Yew, am always by your side. If there is any need, just speak; I am always at your service."

Lay Practitioner Faxian speaks:

"Practitioner Su's abilities surpass anyone in the world. Such an incredible display leaves me, Faxian, watching with wide eyes every day. Besides performing spiritual deliverance, Practitioner Su takes me and others to visit various places to see the world of suffering. Every time, I am left in tears, my face covered in snot and tears. Venerable Changren also performs excellently in the mornings, along with many other monastics, and there is an uncountable number of monastics in the surrounding community participating in the deliverance. Practitioner Su's skills are truly brilliant. Every morning, they shine throughout the void. Practitioner Su possesses an infinite heart of , which everyone can see. Wherever Practitioner Su goes, people always come out to prostrate and bow. Practitioner Su has helped too many sentient beings. The more I see, the clearer it becomes."

The Glory of Hsiang Kuang

"Every day on the grounds of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, the scale of the temple spreads out beyond what the eye can see. The shimmering golden light proves that the Buddha truly resides here. I know that the Buddha’s teachings can save the whole world, the entire universe. I am very confident now because I know the magnificence of Namo Amituofo and the skills of Practitioner Su. Practitioner Su, I will come soon. I am grateful for your help during these days. Namo Amituofo."

Venerable Changren speaks:

"Every day, Practitioner Su's schedule is packed. In the mornings, there are too many places to go; the infinitely layered spaces must all be visited. Immeasurable and boundless sentient beings hope to pursue the opportunity for deliverance and rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Practitioner Su's speed is now very fast; crossing through layers of space is an easy task. In a short amount of time, immeasurable and boundless deliverance work can be completed. However, in such a packed schedule, if something is missed, there are some differences. Changren and the public know this is just an unintentional oversight, and everyone just smiles about it."

The Need for True Giving

"What Lay Practitioner Faxian and I encounter every morning, he reviews again when he returns to his body, because he does not want to forget these things. Many times, Faxian sits on his bed thinking and crying, because he sees in space many people on the road who are suffering without knowing it. In his life, apart from the hardships he faced while building his career, Faxian lived a very wealthy and happy life after his success. He said he is happy to have the chance to encounter these morning experiences in this life. If he can remember them, he will do his best to help. It turns out that what is truly needed is this kind of giving. In the outside society, there are many different types of giving, but Faxian did not know how many benefited. Now that he sees this place, he knows, and he is willing to make a vow. He hopes to save the confused beings in space. He knows that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has ways to save everyone. He is very moved. He works hard every day, and I, Changren, cooperate to help him retain these impressions, deepening them day by day. He has promised that he will wake up, and I believe the Buddha will provide great help. Namo Amituofo."

Lay Practitioner Yinchuan speaks:

"From beginningless time until now, the original life and existence were so simple. As long as one was fed and clothed, it was enough to constitute a peaceful and contented life. Becoming a monastic is truly letting go of everything to focus on the Buddha’s path; such practitioners are respected. The life of primitive people was also one with the earth. Although it was not like the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre where layers of space are opened and one can converse with all things, they knew how to respect life. Looking at the lives of primitive people from the perspective of modern people, one might think they lack culture, but one should look at the simplicity and lack of pollution in their spiritual level. In education, the respect for teachers and the path is now almost non-existent. Children are already spoiled, and with the development of internet information, children sometimes know too much, which leads to their lack of respect for teachers. Think about the true inner self—how many people have it now? Does education teach children true respect for others? Why am I, Yinchuan, particularly touched by the matter of respect today? It is because of the true in my heart after seeing the scenes in space. Although I was a monastic in the past and gave lectures, the truth of reincarnation in the universe was not as thoroughly explained as Practitioner Su has done. Truly dissecting the human body so thoroughly—humanity today needs such clear explanations. And to truly help beings in the underworld attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land is something no one else can do. Practitioner Su's suffering is truly helping the universe. This is the magnificent karmic condition for humanity in this century. I will grasp this opportunity and fully support it. Please, Practitioner Su, believe in me."

Huang Jinxuan speaks:

"After being in the same space for a long time, people feel that everything is normal. They are used to this space and do not feel the suffering because of habit and ignorance. No one guides them, and they do not know they should leave. Such people or spirits are countless. Those who can hear the Buddha’s teachings and obtain real benefits from them are very few. Now, the spirits in the void have such great blessings. Practitioner Su, in the Dharma Realm, manifests thousands of billions of Dharma Bodies, leading countless Bodhisattvas of the universe, ancestral masters, and the pure ocean-wide assembly to open countless spaces that have existed for thousands of years. Most of them entered because of attachment—generals, soldiers, merchants, empresses, eunuchs, workers, blacksmiths, emperors, scholars, trees, flowers, grass, birds, fish, insects, and many other beings are all trapped in space. It is more painful than suffering in hell, because they do not know they should leave suffering behind. They can only circulate endlessly in space. Only the Buddha-name can open the layers of space, and only under the illumination of the Buddha-light do they understand the truth of all things and know they should leave suffering behind. Today, the venerable masters and Faxian have seen a deeper and broader level, and they understand more clearly that human life is hard to obtain and the Buddha’s teachings are hard to hear. They will engrave this impression deeply in their minds and understand that they must promote the name of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre as soon as possible, so that more suffering spirits in the void and in reality can receive the benefits of the Dharma."

Zhao Puchu speaks:

"The human world has both heaven and hell. Poor people are busy every day earning money for their living needs. Sometimes they envy the rich who do not have to struggle for a living or run around for money. They envy their heavenly life of not worrying about food and clothing, but they do not know that the rich worry every day about their own safety, the safety of their wealth, and worry about how to increase their money. Such thoughts make the rich fall into the hell of worry. They envy ordinary people for not having so many things to worry about—an ordinary heaven. People are just so unsatisfied; they cannot be satisfied with the items needed in every realm. Once they have something, they want more; once things are good, they need them to be better. They never think that when the most important breath is gone, none of these can be taken away. Today, Practitioner Su led the venerable masters to see from the lowest level of life to the highest, and from the dust particles to the clouds in the sky, from the crawling insects to the birds and beasts. See clearly and understand that every living thing is a transformation of the spirit. No matter how rich or powerful you are in the world, if the spirit does not learn the Buddha’s teachings and cannot be autonomous, then you can only drift with the tide, becoming the object of the strongest thought, or suffering in hell, or rotating in the six realms. Constantly instilling this truth into the venerable masters allows them to understand the importance and urgency of learning the Buddha’s teachings, and to accumulate merits and virtues in this life to escape the cycle of rebirth."

Venerable Yongning speaks:

"I have visited the spirits on a piece of land; I have been the spirit of the land for over four hundred years. In my lifetime, I was a farmer. I loved planting crops and planted many fruits and vegetables to distribute everywhere; this was my hobby. From early morning until evening, I worked in the fields. My wife and children could do nothing but prepare meals for me every day. When the crops were harvested, I would smile from ear to ear, feeling very happy to see my hard work distributed to neighbours. I took great care of this land and did not allow others to destroy it. If there was a little trash, I would pick it up immediately. I believed that the earth nurtures everything, and humanity cannot survive without it, so I maintained the land with great care. After I died, I became a spirit within the land. In the space of the land, four hundred years have passed, and I am still guarding it. Besides me, there are many other spirits on this land, densely packed, each in their own space. Although I was a good person, my attachment caused me to enter this space, unable to leave for a long time. Today, people's personalities are becoming more complex and attached. One can imagine how many spirits will be in space. I hope every person in the world has the opportunity to hear the Buddha’s voice, understand the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and must seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land in this life. Otherwise, to live life after life in space—what a pity!"

Lay Practitioner Wuren speaks:

"Only after the bitter cold of winter can the plum blossom smell so fragrant. This ancient saying, I, Wuren, have truly witnessed through Practitioner Su. Practitioner Su sincerely dedicates to the Buddha’s teachings without the slightest reservation, giving everything, day after day, never stopping. This compassion is extreme; truly, this is a saviour from the West. This dark six realms of existence is lit up by this bright lamp, Practitioner Su."

The Fall of the Wealthy

"In today's deliverance, an old man told me about his family. The old man's home was dark, dilapidated, and as desolate as a ruin, but the old man lived there alone. Every day, he would take the vegetables he grew himself to the street, choose an inconspicuous corner, lay down an old cloth, and squat there from early morning, just to sell these vegetables and get enough to eat for the day. I felt so sad. I couldn't help but ask, 'Do you have children?' Yes, he once had three daughters and a son, but now they are all separated and do not know each other. The old man was once a great millionaire, but now he is an old man selling vegetables on the street. No one recognizes him. The mansion he once lived in has been replaced by today's ruin. Just because the old man became addicted to gambling, he gambled away all his savings, losing his wealth and his family. The old man is already eighty-three years old. Fortunately, he learned the technique of growing vegetables from his father when he was young, so he could still make a living selling vegetables. Every day was like this, unchanging. One morning, the old man was squatting in the corner of the street as usual. His body was old and weak. It was very cold that day, and he didn't have any thick clothes. He died on the street due to a vascular disease caused by the cold. Now, the old man is still selling vegetables. In his space, he is still squatting there dozing off. I taught the old man to chant Namo Amituofo to seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Human life is not worth coming back to at all."

Master Shengchang speaks:

"If what is seen and heard during the morning walking meditation is one of Practitioner Su's methods of saving beings according to their karmic conditions, then one should never discuss the hardships in the process, or the suffering Practitioner Su bears for the beings being saved, taking on the suffering of sentient beings. Lay Practitioner Yinchuan followed Practitioner Su to the market and saw the suffering of sentient beings. Every spirit in the market was still busy shouting and trading in space. Every one of them worked so hard, yet the income they earned was so little. Yinchuan is truly grateful for the Buddha’s compassion. That Yinchuan has such great blessings in this life is because of the merits accumulated in past lives. In the face of the cold and warmth of human feelings, Yinchuan chanted the Buddha’s name especially loudly and focused while following Practitioner Su. Seeing Practitioner Su’s compassionate Dharma Body performing deliverance for immeasurable and boundless beings, and seeing Practitioner Su allow every disciple to present various states—different , different regrets of being harmed—and leading everyone to witness the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, the shimmering golden temple moved everyone. Feeling the blessings of the Buddha-light, Yinchuan and the disciples were filled with energy. Building temples to help sentient beings and inheriting the Buddha’s teachings—this is what is truly important. I still feel moved in my heart. Yinchuan tries to maintain the right of chanting the Buddha’s name every day, wanting to find the past self. I, Shengchang, keep reminding Yinchuan to chant the Buddha’s name."

Master Ouyi speaks:

"The structure of the human body is complex, like a Dharma Realm of emptiness. Layers of space overlap and intersect, layer upon layer, difficult to distinguish. Practitioner Su's body contains space, different from the differences of ordinary people. It is to seek deliverance in space, where endless beings enter. Kneeling and begging Practitioner Su to resolve the suffering of all, the cells of differentiate. The deep vow to save beings descends to the world, reincarnating in different bodies. To save beings throughout the Dharma Realm, whether an emperor or a monastic, all wish for the Tathagata to save all beings. Practitioner Su is the hero among women, a woman in appearance but a husband in reality. With great courage and no fear, leading the way, the vow is deep and broad to save the suffering beings. Reorganizing the Dharma lineage to restore the Dharma, in this life, the vow is fulfilled to return to the West. All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas welcome, welcoming Practitioner Su and the boundless beings, returning to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo."
