The Mituo Village and the Path to True Cultivation
An Interview with Venerable Master Guang Qin
Recorded on August 22, 2018
This is a record of an interview with the Venerable Master Guang Qin, who now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his teachings and observations regarding the Mituo Village project. The interview was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on August 22, 2018.
Venerable Master Guang Qin speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am the Venerable Master Guang Qin. When people speak of 'Fruit Master', the Cheng Tian Chan Temple in Tucheng, or the Miao Tong Temple in Liugui, Kaohsiung, many of you may be familiar with these names. They are all the same; we are all one family. If you are always preoccupied with dividing things into 'yours', 'mine', and 'theirs', there will never be an end to it. Your heart will never be pure. How, then, can you properly practise chanting Namo Amituofo?
The True Treasure of the Heart
People in this world are all the same. When they have nothing to do, they look for trouble just to keep busy, not realising that this is the perfect time to chant Namo Amituofo! The Buddha should be chanted within the heart, carved deep into your very soul. It is a treasure that nothing else can replace, and no one can snatch it away from you. That is your only true, authentic property. If you are afraid of others knowing, afraid of their envy, or afraid of them stealing it, then it is not real—it is all false. Yet, people still cling to these illusions tightly, arguing with others, raising their voices, and forming factions. It is exhausting! You may not feel tired, but just listening to it makes me weary!
The Stubbornness of the Mundane
Often, people come before my image, mumbling a long list of grievances, and then ask me, 'Master, what should I do next?' I always reply, 'Just chant Namo Amituofo! Chant with sincerity, not with a false heart, and you will know exactly what to do!' I do not know if they truly hear what I am saying. However, from what I can see, those who get angry remain angry; those who are hot-tempered remain hot-tempered; and those who are stubborn and cannot turn their hearts around remain just as they were. Alas! They have not changed one bit. I do not know what kind of 'Buddha' they are chanting to. In any case, whether I speak or remain silent, the result is the same. It is better to say nothing at all; seeing nothing and hearing nothing keeps the heart much clearer. Still, there is the son of A-Dan—whom you call Practitioner Su, and who has now 'upgraded' to be known as Su Fo. He is quite formidable. As a monastic, he can communicate with us in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and with Namo Amituofo. He writes down our intentions, which is why, even though I passed away so many years ago, you are still able to hear the words I speak from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Sacrifice of a Saviour
It is no simple feat for the son of A-Dan to have reached such a level! He has been studying Buddhism for thirty years. For twenty years, he has been performing to save people, bearing the suffering of beings in his own left leg. The pain was so severe he nearly lost his life, yet he bravely chose to live on. A-Dan—who is Practitioner Su's mother—and I, we in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss all feel such deep for him. Only Namo Amituofo and the sages of the West can truly help him. Fortunately, he is currently recovering; otherwise, the world would have lost a Buddha-like figure dedicated to saving the world.
The Natural Power of True Attainment
I have a good relationship with the son of A-Dan. If he calls for me, I hear him immediately in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. He calls out, and I descend. Such things can only be encountered at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia; you will not find this level of attainment elsewhere. Even if I had the ability to communicate, others elsewhere would not be able to receive it. This is the truth! This kind of communication is a natural connection, not the work of spirit mediums or demonic possession. This is what constitutes true 'attainment'. Those who study Buddhism must keep their Six Roots pure, and then this natural connection will manifest. The more pure you are, the more you can connect. If all Six Roots are connected, then 'seeing one's true nature' is close at hand! In other words, those who have awakened have all Six Roots connected, and they can save others even faster.
Flying Beyond the Ten Realms
Take the son of A-Dan, for example. He now possesses a and manifestations; his ability to perform Chao Du and save beings extends beyond the Earth. He can fly to the heavens beyond the heavens, beyond the Ten Dharma Realms—what you call the Milky Way. He even leads a large group of 'high masters' to fly together. Everyone is very skilled at flying. They fly so high, not for play, but to save extraterrestrial beings. Many extraterrestrials have been saved and brought to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. We look and think, 'Oh! Who has such great ability?' Beings without energy are brought to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss to be replenished; those who were originally in darkness are brought to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss to be turned back into light. Some who left the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss tens of millions of years ago to save others and never returned have, this time, actually been saved and brought back! It turns out this is the work of A-Dan's son! I just smile and nod. A-Dan's son is truly formidable; he has accomplished another great feat—a task of saving beings that others could not achieve! That is why many do not believe it; it is something they could not even dream of.
The Mituo Village
Today, under the care of Namo Amituofo, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is building a Mituo Village on this land. It is truly wonderful! In Namo Amituofo's Mituo Village, those who enter can live out their remaining years in peace, and Practitioner Su can guide everyone to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a true matter. Everyone must come quickly! Spread the good news to one another. This is a place recommended by 'Fruit Master' and the Venerable Master Guang Qin. You can eat vegetarian food, have a place to stay, chant Namo Amituofo, perform prostrations, attend Dharma assemblies, and listen to the Dharma. You must seize this opportunity! Those who wish to practise, those who wish to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and those who chant Namo Amituofo—you must come quickly!"
Namo Amituofo.
