The Mysteries of the Human Body and Its Inhabitants
An Interview with the Primordial Demon Mo Fa Rong
A Record of Spiritual Observations from the Western Dharma-Nature Land
This is a record of an interview with Mo Fa Rong, a Primordial Demon who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the . This account reflects upon his existence spanning approximately 7,960 trillion years. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on February 19, 2025.
Mo Fa Rong speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Mo Fa Rong. I am grateful for this fourth opportunity to share with everyone the topic Namo Amituofo has bestowed upon me. It is truly exhilarating to receive a subject directly from the Buddha.
A Connection Spanning Trillions of Years
The connection I formed with the Buddha 7,960 trillion years ago continues to this day, allowing me to speak to you from the Western -Nature Land at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. During my time here, I have observed the structure of the human body and its profound mysteries.
In our Dharma Realm, humans do not exist. On very few planets do life forms similar to the human body exist, and even then, they are not as complex as yours. Most beings in the Dharma Realm exist in a spiritual state. Therefore, the human body holds a great attraction for demon crowds. If given the chance, they will attach themselves to a human body to survive until that life ends. In terms of demonic nature, this is the norm. This is because the survival of demon crowds requires energy, just as human life requires energy. The difference lies in the source: humans derive energy from food, while demon crowds do not eat; they absorb energy directly. As long as a person has breath, they possess energy. If that energy is gone, the person dies. Different human hearts carry different qualities of energy, and these different energies form different magnetic fields.
The Magnetic Fields of Aging and Illness
The human body undergoes the four processes of birth, aging, sickness, and death. According to what I have observed, the magnetic field of the human body differs at every stage. Newborn babies possess a magnetic field that is pure and good, untainted. However, they are quickly polluted. As soon as they begin to cry, express needs, or seek satisfaction—the moment they develop various —they are tainted. Feelings are a form of pollution! This is something I heard Practitioner Su teach in the Western Dharma-Nature Land: humans must not have feelings.
As ages, its magnetic field inevitably declines, dropping significantly compared to youth. This is visible in the people I observe now; this is the magnetic field of aging. Every life has a different lifespan. In an aging body, the energy is much lower than before, yet the number of beings residing within the body has increased significantly.
If the body is ill, the magnetic field drops even more rapidly, becoming a magnetic field of sickness. The specific location of the illness is where the magnetic field is darkest. This is what I see in you. If you compare two bodies, one where a specific area is functioning normally and another where that same area is diseased, the magnetic field of the diseased area is visibly darker and extremely crowded. This shows that the number of beings inside has increased. Only those with open eyes or beings from the spirit realm can see this. By the time you notice swelling, redness, heat, or deformity in that area, the beings inside are already packed to the limit. If the illness is chronic, these beings have accumulated slowly. If it is rapid—such as a sprain, injury, or sudden inflammation—it indicates a rapid gathering of beings. Thus, the human body truly exists in many different states.
The Buddha as the Great Physician
To be honest, when I heard you reciting sutras during the , mentioning that Namo Amituofo is the Great Physician, I did not understand why. Now, I have finally gained some insight. Whether it is birth, aging, sickness, or death, changes in the body's magnetic field, or any pain and discomfort—including when Practitioner Su is attacked by spells cast by demon crowds—it is clear that these are inseparable from the presence of these beings.
The beings I refer to—, attached spirits, and demon crowds—are a collective term. In short, I use the word beings to represent them all. Indeed, there is not a single thing unrelated to these beings; everything is connected. No wonder Practitioner Su says that those who truly study the Buddha's teachings can avoid aging and sickness, keep their spirits from dying, and achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the truth. Because when one truly masters the Buddha's skills, the body becomes pure and good—it becomes clean. There are no beings coming to seek revenge, and no demon crowds present. Even if they are present, as I have seen with Practitioner Su, they are beings who previously entered her body and were subsequently subdued or transformed by her personality or her lectures, becoming quiet and still. Currently, because many demon crowds outside the body are casting spells, these beings are being awakened, which causes pain or feelings of weakness in certain areas. But this is not caused by Practitioner Su herself; it is caused by external demon crowds casting spells, which is entirely different from one's own birth, aging, sickness, and death.
The Ultimate High Technology
This is why the Buddha's teachings are the ultimate high technology. The brilliance of the Dharma lies in the Buddha's mastery of adjusting the heart. I myself was adjusted by the Buddha. The Buddha did not need profound texts; he used his light, , wisdom, and tolerance to ensure that I, from a little demon to an ancient demon of 7,960 trillion years, would always remember him. There must be a reason for this. During those days spent with the Buddha, my little demon heart was adjusted and subdued. Therefore, adjusting demons must begin with adjusting the heart. This is the sincere truth spoken from the perspective of an ancient demon. The Buddhist education I received in the Western Dharma-Nature Land also teaches that the Dharma begins with adjusting the heart. If people accept this education, they will certainly benefit.
Now, let us discuss the structure and mysteries of the human body. We can look at this through the two different body structures: those who have received Buddhist education and those who have not. Of course, those who have received Buddhist education must also achieve success to see results. Many who have not achieved success, or who are still struggling and wrestling with their karmic creditors, have no success to speak of yet; instead, they experience suffering and pain. These are all part of the process.
The Buddhist education you receive at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is education for becoming a Buddha, not the typical education focused on worldly social interactions. The difference between the two is vast. From what I see, each person's level of acceptance or obedience to the Dharma varies, resulting in extreme differences in their bodies. Most people find it difficult to overcome the various problems and illnesses of the body, and their negative changes in character attract even more karmic creditors, attached spirits, and demon crowds. This is why demon crowds harm the human body, making it difficult for people to maintain a good, positive magnetic field. People must be aware and vigilant.
The Hair and the Nails
Regarding the human body structure, let us start with the skin. Beyond the skin, the body also has hair and nails. This is my understanding of the human body; if there are any shortcomings, please forgive me, as I have only recently begun observing human bodies. Since the physical eyes cannot see these things, I can offer a little of the information I have observed.
There are beings in the hair and nails outside the skin! Especially for those with thick, dark, and abundant hair, beings hide within every single strand. The spaces between the hairs are also filled with beings. Since most of you have cut your hair, the contrast between those with much hair and those with little is very obvious.
Regardless of the rest of the body, if a person's hair emits a black light, it is because there are demon crowds inside. Every demon has a different personality. Some people like to keep strange hairstyles or various designs, or even dye their hair different colours. In fact, whatever mentality humans have, demon crowds have as well. They keep long hair or various forms of hair to compensate for past deficiencies, suppressed hearts, or to express something they wish to vent. In the Western Dharma-Nature Land, we often see a person's hair emitting a mass of black light before we even see the light of their body. This is truly a terrifying thing.
In contrast, for most people, if the hair is kept short and neat, or if they are like monks and nuns with no hair, they are clean and fresh, and there are few beings on them. If there are beings on the head, they are easily discovered. For example, you bathe and purify yourselves every day; bathing is actually a very good way to invite these beings to leave. Water helps with purification, just like the pure water you mention. Therefore, water is a method of purification. Every time I see you bathe and purify, your bodies are much fresher and cleaner than before.
Therefore, it is truly necessary for you to purify yourselves after the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies. During the ceremony, there are always more beings, and there will be attached spirits on your clothes, faces, hair, and even your shoes. After purification, they are washed away by the water, and you look much brighter. Those who do not like to bathe and purify should be vigilant. Because the number of attached spirits will increase, leading to fatigue, and your body's qi will be sucked away by these spirits. Naturally, your complexion will look darker. You can see some attached spirits—spirits that float into your body, feeling completely powerless, and after sucking up plenty of qi, they float out of your body full of energy, while you start to feel hungry and look for food, or fall asleep from exhaustion.
Next, let us look at the nails. Nails grow outside the skin; this is a natural structure of the human body. In the spirit realm, some souls also manifest with fingernails. In short, for the human body, the purpose of the nails is to protect the fingers or toes. I believe one can tell if a person's fingers and toes are healthy, and it is different in cases of illness. Most pathological states of the nails manifest as black, grey, or dark colours. The structure of the body is like this, and the nails are the same. Healthy nails generally appear pink, clean, and smooth. The organs of the body are the same. This is what we see.
The Storehouse of the Eight Consciousnesses
These colours are something I have learned in the last few days. In fact, the sources and objects of our learning include your eight consciousnesses and fifty-one mental factors. The higher the wisdom of the demon crowds, the more ability they have to choose, knowing what is real, what is worth learning, and what should not be learned. For demon crowds, when we encounter kindness and goodness, we do not learn it. We learn what is not good or evil. But now, we in the Western Dharma-Nature Land are different from before. We do not learn what is evil, bad, or wrong; we learn from the storehouse of people's to learn what is kind, good, and bright.
Therefore, the eight consciousnesses and fifty-one mental factors of you fourfold assembly disciples are a very rich storehouse, densely packed and crowded. Inside, there is a wealth of information, and we must distinguish for ourselves what we need to know. This is why we can absorb a large amount of information and situations about people on Earth in a very short time. Especially for old demons and ancient demons with high meditative concentration, the speed of learning is fast. If it is a little demon or a demon child or grandchild, their hearts are mostly unstable, so their learning speed is not as direct or rapid.
Returning to the condition of the nails mentioned earlier: nails grow, but there are many beings inside. Because they are connected to the nail bed, the condition of the nail bed is reflected on the nails. The nails themselves also reflect their health status. So, do not underestimate that tiny piece of nail; it protects the nail bed inside, and one can also see the distribution of beings at the very end of the human body—the nails.
The Complexity of Skin and Pores
Furthermore, I have discovered that different beings exist in different parts of the body according to their personalities and habits. For example, on the surface of the skin, there are often air beings that exist in contact with the outside air, attached to the surface. If these beings are not harmful, it is fine. If they are harmful, the skin will undergo structural changes because the beings have their own personalities. If they are destructive beings, they often turn the skin red, or cause abrasions and pus. A very special point about the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is the ability to invite these beings—to be able to invite them to leave. If they are invited away, they will not cause harm to the skin, and the skin will quickly return to health. However, if the skin has been injured for a long time before the beings are invited away, the recovery ability depends on the original health of the human body.
If these beings remain on the skin, or if one batch is invited away and another appears, this problem cannot be solved. I have seen that if people use medication, some medications are not harmful and only temporarily stop the problem. Others do cause harm to the beings. These only temporarily stop the problem; if the beings do not leave that location, the problem will recur. This is what I see on the skin or nails.
You wear shoes, so you cannot see your nails, but we can see through the shoes to see the condition of your feet. Sometimes, we see the presence of demon crowds inside the nails. This is how we know that some illnesses, if demon crowds are involved, have no possibility of improvement. If the demon crowds are not invited away, the problem will persist. Even if other beings are invited away, if the demon crowds remain, the problem is only temporarily relieved and cannot return to its original state.
Even if the demon crowds are invited away, as Practitioner Su says—you think of them and they come back—this is indeed the case. There are too many beings and demon crowds with similar personalities. When there is a vacancy in a location, and people happen to be thinking about that area or have other thoughts, the demon crowds can enter that part of the body. Of course, that part will then have demon crowds present again. Unless they are invited away, the resulting illness cannot be cured. This principle is not hard to understand. The difficulty is, if people think and they come back, how can they be invited away? This is the most difficult part. Thinking is easy; I see that there is not one person who does not think—they are thinking almost every second. It is just a matter of whether they are thinking of good or bad, kindness or evil, or if they are not thinking of themselves but only of other beings—then, of course, that is realising one's true nature! Only Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have this situation; otherwise, almost no one can avoid thinking of themselves.
The Subtle Dharma
I have recently heard the words Form, Feeling, Perception, , and Consciousness often. The Buddha's teachings are truly subtle! These five simple words contain the entire body. Moreover, this consciousness is not part of the body but belongs to the invisible part; you cannot grasp it, and there is nothing to invite out, but it truly exists. In these interviews, I have mentioned the eight consciousnesses and fifty-one mental factors, which I learned from Practitioner Su's lectures. After seeing and hearing some information, I found this to be so reasonable; the Buddha's teachings are so great! I see that human thoughts can all be categorised here and are all hidden within. These facts exist within human thoughts. To look at your past, you only need to look at the eight consciousnesses and fifty-one mental factors, or look at what you call the .
Next, let us look at the pores. Pores are on the skin. The condition of the pores and skin you see with your naked eyes is very different from what we see with our demon eyes. What we see is not as small as what you see with your naked eyes. We see them as very, very large—so large that we can see what is inside the pores. Some have many beings inside; almost all have beings present. There is not a single pore that is clean and without beings. Very fine skin lines appear next to the pores. Many beings are on these skin lines or blocking the pores.
This includes a lot of skin dander, which is dead skin. There are many beings on the dander, and there are many female beings—this is what we see. These female beings are all related to emotion; perhaps the skin is attached to the body, giving them a feeling of closeness, so they like to stay on the skin. However, the body naturally renews itself. When the time comes, the skin ages, and the dander falls off, and new skin grows. Then, some of the beings on the dander go with it; these are mostly beings that cause no pain or itching. Some emotional ones, those with karmic creditor relationships, will remain on the skin, and if new skin grows, they will prevent the new skin from growing well.
The changes in the body are very complex; some changes are good, and some are bad. What I am talking about now is the more negative side. Karmic creditors know before the dander falls off that, because they are in a spiritual state, they will attach themselves to the new skin, hindering its growth. Sometimes they allow new skin to grow but cause the surrounding skin to grow poorly. There are truly many, many changes here that cannot be explained in a moment. No wonder I also see that after many people return from outside, I see that the beings inside have made some changes. Speaking of cells, these emotional female beings exist within the skin cells. And they move; they are active, not dead! They can penetrate deep into the skin or move to the outer layer of the skin.
The Light of the Buddha
Some beings come out to listen when Practitioner Su is lecturing and retreat afterwards. Some beings want the light to shine on their faces. During the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies, I saw that some people's faces were dark and black. During the ceremony, the Buddha-light shone on their faces and took these beings away, and one could see the skin become brighter. This is because most beings carry a dark colour. Especially karmic creditors with resentment or demon crowds mostly appear dark. If it is an attached spirit that does not cause direct harm, most are the ghost realm beings of your Earth, because I see that most ghosts on Earth carry a grey light. Therefore, if people's complexions are grey or pale, most are ghost attachments. If they are black, many are karmic creditors or demon crowds. In the last few days, the situations I have seen are roughly classified this way, and I do not think I am wrong.
You may observe that for those of you who diligently perform the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies, your skin tone will turn from dark to bright. Also, when you prostrate to the Buddha, when you rise and look at the Buddha, some of the beings on the skin of your face will be taken away by the Buddha-light. When you prostrate, many beings on your shoulders and the area between your shoulder blades are also taken away by the Buddha-light. In fact, there are also many beings on your hands and feet that are taken away when you prostrate. Therefore, prostrating to the Buddha seems to be of great help in dissolving . By reducing the number of beings, your spiritual obstacles are greatly lightened, are they not?
Therefore, there is a reason why Practitioner Su often tells you to prostrate to the Buddha. If there are fewer beings on your body, at least the discomfort in that area will decrease. But if you have thoughts again—thoughts related to that area or those beings—the beings will enter that area again. Some beings come from outside, and some appear from within the body. This is what I see.
The Flow of Blood
Regarding blood vessels, they include the flow of blood. When the red blood you speak of surfaces, that area will appear redder or swollen. There are many beings in the blood; each being has a different appearance and form, and the space inside is quite large. I have studied space slightly. So I see that every being has a different form, and they each have their own space. Moreover, I have read about what you call blood cells. There are several types of cells in the blood, and their life cycles are different. For example, if the blood flows smoothly, the area where it flows will be healthier. If there is a blockage or narrowing in the blood flow, that area will begin to show signs of weakness and soreness.
As for the causes of blood flow blockage, some are clots in the blood—tangible substances—and some are intangible spirit realm beings, such as karmic creditors, attached spirits, or even demon crowds. Many karmic creditors and attached spirits form a force, releasing resentment or negative energy and gases, which offsets the formation of positive energy or gases. What is called negative is evil, bad, or wrong. If there is a blockage, that part of the blood does not grow well. The body is linked ring by ring. If the blood is blocked, it will affect the surrounding cells, and the information exchanged between cells will be blocked. The most common result is what you often call soreness, pain, or redness.
To go deeper, if the thoughts of the beings causing these blood or vascular problems are vengeful—I am going to make you look bad!—yes, I have seen this; we can read the thoughts of these beings. Often, this area is definitely not comfortable. If the beings in this area are more peaceful and gentle, then it seems that this area is still more tolerable.
Of course, the best situation is to have no beings, or for the beings to be very happy, carrying light on their bodies, and even reciting the Buddha-name! These are the happiest cells! I see that only Practitioner Su has such cells; no one else does. Most beings, even when they hear the Buddha-name, keep their mouths tightly shut. Even if they hear it, they are unwilling to recite along; some recite twice and then stop. In fact, they are just like you, are they not?
Many people hear the Buddha-name, but it is as if they have not heard it at all. Some recite a few sentences and then stop, their attention distracted. Or when prostrating to the Buddha, they hear a few sentences of the Buddha-name, prostrate a few times, and the Buddha-name disappears. During the morning walking meditation, it is even more so! Almost everyone is reciting with their eyes squinted. We see their beings; some are furious, wanting to recite along, but they do not, so the beings do not recite either. Some have anger flaring up inside. Some are very happy beings: Just as I thought, you do not recite, and I certainly will not either, and then they drag you away, making you sway from side to side. Some even go and hit the wall.
Excuse me, this is what we see in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. Why do you hit the wall? Because you are not reciting the Buddha-name properly, and the beings do not want to recite either, so the beings drag your soul out—it is dragged inside your body; you have not come out. And your body has no master. So the beings who have taken control of your body make you hit the wall, and you hit the wall. Because most of the body's cells listen to the beings, and most of the true self is locked away.
Every Thursday, when Practitioner Su calls for the three hun souls and seven po souls, many true selves return, but indeed, it does not take long before they are locked away again. You are told to recite the Buddha-name while running, but I see not one person reciting from beginning to end. Most are looking here and there, talking here and there, and the Buddha-name has long since disappeared. This is when the beings enter. Otherwise, the beings in your body take control, telling you not to recite, or telling you to talk, and you listen and obey.
The Influence of Demon Crowds
Your relationship with these beings is truly too close! In fact, this includes demon crowds. Actually, the appearance of demon crowds is not hard to discover; people with extreme personalities are controlled by demon crowds. Basically, their true self has been trapped, and the behaviour, language, and actions they manifest are determined by the beings in control. If a gentle being is in control, they might just be a bit disobedient. If a demon crowd is in control, most have intense personalities; in terms of behaviour, as long as they do not participate in the group's routine, or have strong personal opinions or subjectivity, this is all demon crowds in control. We know this too well; the personality of demon crowds is just like this. Demon crowds are also very straightforward, so since there is a body they can use, why not let them express their personality? It is even better if they can make everyone feel uneasy; they feel this is the purpose of what they are doing. At this time, there is no need to look or ask; they are definitely being used by demons. This is what we have seen in the last few times.
Some demons have slightly gentler personalities; they are disobedient and do not listen to anyone. They do not listen to the Buddha's teachings, the Teacher's teachings, and they do not take Practitioner Su's guidance to heart, acting as they please. Such people are also controlled by demon crowds.
If someone is occasionally obedient and occasionally disobedient, occasionally able to control themselves and occasionally unable, causing the body discomfort, we can see that they are controlled by different beings. Because beings and demon crowds are very straight—straight-gutted, one path to the end, not beating around the bush. Therefore, the appearance of different bodies, languages, or thoughts means different beings are in control.
I have learned a phrase called all Buddhas walk the same path. Those who have realised their true nature are protective of all beings because their character is the same and stable. Other than that, most people are in a state of fluctuation, which shows that different beings are controlling the body. This is different from the spirit realm; the spirit realm has no opportunity for beings to attach, and without a body, they are their own masters. However, if one's own soul is the master but has not received Buddhist education and has not been illuminated by the Buddha-light, one also lives in darkness and is also suffering.
Strange, I now use the word suffering. How could I not have been suffering for these 7,960 trillion years? It should have been even more suffering! No wonder Practitioner Su says that old demons are very suffering! I did not feel it at first, but now that my awareness is slowly appearing and I have realised some things, I find it is truly suffering! This is the difference between a Buddha and a demon.
Therefore, I have now roughly introduced what I see regarding the condition of human skin, blood vessels, blood, and pores. Also, different skin on the body stores different beings, and different pores have different beings; the spaces are all different. Nails have the space of nails, skin has the space of skin, and every pore of the skin has a different space. So, how many pores are on a person's body? How much space is there? Can this be counted? I see densely packed pores. Sometimes one pore has more than one space; some have two or three spaces. So how much space is there in the whole body? This is a quite frightening number; it can be said to be uncountable!
The epidermis has so much space, and there is also a lot of space in the body's blood! There are so many blood vessels in the whole body—some thick, some thin, some dark red, some light red; blood vessels exist almost everywhere in the body. There is too much space inside! There is space within space, and space within space, and every space has beings. With the pores mentioned earlier and the blood now, how many are there? More than fifty trillion? Much more!
The human body is truly very complex. And in this complexity, if the Buddha-light shines, the hearts of all the beings in the body will be calmed. This is the energy within the Buddha-light, because the Buddha is pure and good, and the highest energy is the Buddha-light emitted by the Buddha, which can make the heart of every being stable, allowing the deficient parts of the beings to be replenished, so they can feel satisfied and joyful.
Therefore, just after participating in a Dharma assembly, the body should be in its cleanest and purest state, as many beings have been invited away by the Buddha-light. The Dharma assemblies at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre are illuminated by the Buddha-light everywhere; I have never seen this situation elsewhere. We are now the same in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. This cannot be seen elsewhere; it certainly cannot be seen in the Dharma Realm.
I will explain it roughly like this today. I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
Namo Amituofo.
Q&A with Mo Fa Rong
Question: Please point out the situation of the fourfold assembly disciples prostrating to the Buddha, as well as the situation of falling asleep and drooling while prostrating.
Mo Fa Rong answers:
The situation I see when you prostrate to the Buddha is that everyone walks to their place with their eyes squinted. So, how can you open your eyes to prostrate? This has continuity! Because you are still dreaming! Your soul is still being led away, so when you prostrate and pause, it is even easier to be led away! When walking, you still have some consciousness, some moments of clarity, but when you reach your place, at the beginning of the three prostrations, you cannot just stand still. If everyone prostrates and you are the only one standing there, everyone knows you have fainted, but you cannot faint that early. Most people only start to faint when they begin to prostrate.
So, at this time, the ears are still quite useful. The hands and feet can still follow the Buddha-name, following one , two prostrations, three prostrations to prostrate, with physical movements. When you start to prostrate, everyone prostrates to their own Buddha. At this time, the soul that was already half-awake and half-asleep has a long time to be dragged out, dragged into its own space to dream. At this time, do you still know to keep your mouth closed? You must have your mouth open, because the soul is not there, and the mouth is relaxed. Because you do not have this consciousness, no thought to keep your mouth closed, your body cells have also let go. Body cells listen to the instructions of the true self to do things, just like the ears hear prostrate, and the whole body's cells know to have the action of prostrating. This is trained.
For example, if a newcomer comes in and does not know what prostrating to the Buddha is, you play the Buddha-name to teach them when to prostrate, when to flip their palms, when to lift their heads and stand up; these are all learned and trained. Because every day you do the same thing, the body naturally has coordinated movements, and everyone is consistent. It is just that after the three prostrations, everyone goes to prostrate to their own Buddha, everyone enters their own space, and everyone falls into . It is just that the length of time each person is drowsy is different. Some people will suddenly remember in the middle, suddenly the ears hear the Buddha-name, the thought of knowing to prostrate to the Buddha arises, and they will get up again. But after that, they pause again; of course, that is the soul being led away again.
I see that at this time, the beings dragging the soul out of your body are different from the previous ones. Sometimes, the beings are a bit more ruthless, letting you be drowsy from beginning to end. In the end, only when there is no Buddha-name sound are you startled awake. This is the beings letting you wake up. Some people are still drowsy after the Buddha-name sound stops, and only when others pat their shoulders is the soul called back, and they wake up, startled to find that everyone is already doing the dedication.
As for drooling, I see that this is a very common phenomenon. That is because the whole body is relaxed at this time, and your face happens to be facing down, so where else would your saliva flow if not down? When lying down normally, saliva can flow backwards, and lying on the side can flow to the side. If you wake up and swallow a little saliva, perhaps you can reduce this situation. But the time you wake up is too short! There is no time to even think about the saliva before you hurry to prostrate and enter the space. Most people only discover they are drooling when they truly wake up.
Question: Can you ask Mo Fa Rong to talk about the situation of the fourfold assembly disciples walking and circling the Buddha in the morning, and the condition of the beings at that time?
Mo Fa Rong answers:
I just said that this is the same as the situation of prostrating to the Buddha. Your prostrating to the Buddha is trained—the movements of hands, feet, ears, eyes, and body are coordinated with the Buddha-name. But when you are walking, if a certain part of your body can still maintain a little awareness, you can still follow along; for example, the beings in your feet can still help you walk forward. However, if your eyes are closed, you might hit the wall. If your eyes and feet are not listening to you, you might just stand there without moving, waiting for someone to pat you.
This shows that every part of the body has its function, has beings, and has a personality. Many times, these states are the manifestation of the beings' personalities. So, we see that the people who often have specific movements when prostrating are those same people; those who often stop walking, fall, or hit the wall during walking meditation are also the same few people. Because their beings have that personality, they want to make you look bad at that time. Some beings are just like this; we know beings too well. Some gentler and more rational beings will let them walk, with eyes squinted, at least not closed, so fortunately they will not hit the wall, and they can follow the Buddha-name they hear, follow the shadow of the person in front, and even maintain a little clarity, knowing the route. I see no one who is completely clear.
Sometimes, if the person reciting the Buddha-name very loudly might be slightly clearer, because their Buddha-name sound slightly suppresses the beings. Otherwise, those who are very quiet or have no sound are mostly in an unclear state.
As for your thoughts, sometimes you do not feel that thoughts appear. This is like when you are asleep, feeling that your body is asleep and there are no thoughts, but this is not necessarily the case. Beings are very smart! You have a personality, and they have a personality; they will always find the time when you are most relaxed and have no resistance to drag your soul out. When no one will discover you are drowsy and no one will pat you to wake up, they will drag your soul out. This depends on the situation between you and your karmic creditors.
Therefore, for the fourfold assembly disciples who often recite the Buddha-name, the karmic creditors seem to be gentler. Does the Buddha not often say that you will receive the Buddha's blessing in the Buddha-name? The Buddha is great and compassionate! The Buddha in my heart is like this, and I believe the Buddha is the same for you! When you recite the Buddha-name, the Buddha will take care of you, and will also take care of your beings. Beings also have eight consciousnesses and fifty-one mental factors, beings also have ears, eyes, noses, and mouths! Although they are spirits, in a soul state, they have consciousness—eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and even conscious thoughts. Although they do not have a body, some beings still feel they have a body; their spirit is their body.
Therefore, within these consciousnesses, there is the ability to absorb external information. The energy brought by the Buddha-light and the Buddha-name is very strong. If the soul that is the master of your body accepts the Buddha-light and the Buddha-name, then the beings in your body also have the opportunity to accept the Buddha-light and the Buddha-name together; if the soul that is the master of your body rejects the Buddha-light and the Buddha-name, it is very likely that the beings in your body also reject them. Some beings are very strong; they reject the Buddha-name and Buddha-light, simply not letting you accept them. This is the few fourfold assembly disciples that Practitioner Su often talks about, whose eyes are closed and who cannot be woken up no matter how much you call them. Or people who will enter the space no matter how much you call them. Then you can know that the beings in your body are very strong! Stronger than the being that can be the master at that time. Most are demon crowds; only demon crowds have the courage to resist Practitioner Su, especially ancient demons and old demons, and even vengeful ancient demons and old demons, or fierce ghosts.
Fierce ghosts are different from demons! Fierce ghosts have specific targets, but demon crowds are more universal. Because demons have life, demons need to rely on energy. When at certain times, this energy source is gone, for example, the body dies, they will find the next body to attach to, absorbing energy to maintain their own energy. Therefore, this is why the human body is so easily attached to by demon crowds. In fact, it is not just demon crowds; ghosts also need energy, and they will also absorb the qi from your body. This is called life. If a spirit has no qi, it is very fragile, very weak, very afraid of light, very small, and very withered.
Question: May I ask Mo Fa Rong, Grandma often says that the reason for attachment is because beings correspond to our thoughts and personalities. But why is it that when we usually listen to the sutras, we are clearly looking at Grandma listening to the sutras, and we are not doing anything, but soon after, we immediately feel attached spirits coming in, and we start to become drowsy and enter the space?
Mo Fa Rong answers:
The beings have long wanted to attach! Perhaps you were reciting the Buddha-name, just happened to be listening to the sutras, and had the Buddha-light shining, so they had not come in yet. But when you have a moment of distraction, a moment of relaxation, or you think about the questions of listening to the sutras, a thought, they come in immediately. This is why Practitioner Su often tells you to listen to the sutras without thoughts, listen without analysing—this is the principle. Because when you analyse, your thoughts arise. As long as a thought arises, the beings nearby can easily enter your body, and some are waiting, waiting in line. Then, when that thought arises in an instant, they can go in. You say, what is the problem with this? Once they enter your body, they drag your soul out; how can they let you listen to the sutras properly?
When listening to the sutras, some beings like to listen to the sutras and will let you listen together. Some beings do not let you listen to the sutras; they listen to the sutras themselves. You fall asleep, and they hand you over to other beings: You go! We will listen to the sutras, and they grow themselves. Some beings do not listen and do not let you listen: It does not matter, we will die together! The personalities of beings are of a hundred kinds! Just like your personalities! Even more kinds of personalities than humans. But they are a very straight thought, a thought.
Therefore, I see Practitioner Su often scolding you; the beings inside the person being scolded are all very happy! Happy to the extreme! Because Practitioner Su vented the resentment and anger in their hearts for them. Of course, you must not feel good. May I ask you people, which one of you is very happy when Practitioner Su uses the Lion's Roar? It is not so; you will always feel a bit sad, have some thoughts, thinking about how you could be like this. This is of course when the beings are proud: Thank you, Practitioner Su! Look at them like this; this is the hatred in our hearts! You say, can Practitioner Su not scold you? In order to save you, to save the beings in your body, she has to roar loudly! It is better to use Lion's Roar; I learned this term recently.
Grandma's Lion's Roar not only reached your ears but also reached our ears in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. I tell you, it does not just reach the Western Dharma-Nature Land; the whole Dharma Realm can hear it. To be honest, we are not unfamiliar with the situation of you fourfold assembly disciples.
The above is what I have been able to see and hear, and I share it with you. Then I will stop here.
