The Vastness of Existence

Within the universe, there are immeasurable and boundless creatures, each with a different heart. Space is endless, and time is boundless. These are the fundamental dimensions in which all life unfolds, yet the quality of our existence depends entirely upon the state of our own hearts.
The Power of a Pure Heart
When your heart is filled with Goodness, purity, and meditative concentration, it is no longer restricted by the limitations of time and space. This state of being connects your individual spirit to the vastness of time and space, allowing your heart to merge with the universe and the void, becoming as boundless as the cosmos itself. In this state, you transcend the narrow confines of the ego and touch the infinite.
The Consequence of a Confused Heart
Conversely, when a heart is filled with evil, impurity, and confusion, it is trapped by the constraints of time and space. This confusion blocks the connection between the individual and the infinite nature of time and space. Consequently, the heart shrinks until it is so small that it is difficult to perceive even with the physical eyes. It becomes a prisoner of its own limited perspective, unable to see the Truth that lies beyond its immediate, clouded surroundings.
The Boundless Capacity of the Mind
, Wisdom, and mind-capacity are the essential pillars of the heart. The heart of the Avatamsaka Sutra encompasses the entire void and extends to all worlds in the ten directions. This means that the heart is formless and infinite. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world of spirits, immeasurable and boundless, constructed by this very formless and infinite power. In reality, there is no separation between the Avatamsaka realm and the ; they are both the Truth and the ultimate reality, mutually encompassing one another.
The Heart as the Source
Within the universe, the concepts of emptiness and existence, the infinite and the finite, are all contained within this heart. Every phenomenon and every event arises from this source. When you realise this, you understand that the universe is not something external to you, but a reflection of the state of your own heart. Namo Amituofo.
