A pure heart, a new hope
Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju provides profound guidance on how to conduct oneself during group prostration. This practice is not merely a physical exercise; it is a deep spiritual endeavour that requires the total engagement of one's heart and mind.
When you engage in group prostration, you must learn to gather your heart and mind. Do not let your thoughts wander to external matters. Instead, focus your entire attention on every single syllable of the Buddha-name, . Simultaneously, be mindful of every physical movement you make. When you raise your head, remember to look towards the Buddha with reverence. Listen intently to the sound of the Buddha-name, and let your heart chant along with it in perfect harmony.
When you immerse your entire being—your body, your mind, and your spirit—within the resonance of the Buddha-name, a miraculous process begins. Every cell in your body starts to undergo a profound purification. This is not just a physical cleansing; it is a spiritual renewal that reaches the very core of your existence. Through this practice, you allow the Buddha-light to permeate your entire being.
As you chant, the sentient beings around you are also bathed in the sound of the Buddha-name, receiving purification and spiritual nourishment. Furthermore, the and attached spirits residing within your body are illuminated by the Buddha-light. Because of this light, they become willing to take a step back.
This illumination leads to several transformative outcomes: the resolution of old grievances and the untying of karmic knots, the slowing of the aging process, the alleviation or healing of chronic illnesses, and the removal of deep-seated suffering.
Namo Amituofo is truly the Great Physician. When you sincerely offer your body, mind, and spirit to the service of the Buddha and all sentient beings, you are walking the path of true and wisdom. This is the practice of an awakened being. It is a life dedicated to the benefit of all, ensuring that you remain on the right path towards the of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo.
