The Path of Harmony
Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju
Delivered at the 2019 World Disaster Mitigation and Blessing Dharma Assembly

Finding the True Path
After searching far and wide, you have finally arrived at this place. This bodhimanda is a sanctuary of purity, a place where every day is a good day and every moment is a precious opportunity for growth. When your heart is filled with Goodness, your words naturally become a source of inspiration and wisdom. This rare and precious spiritual connection has drawn you here from thousands of miles away. You must deeply cherish this human body, for it is the vessel through which you can attain liberation.
The of Selfless Service
When you serve the fourfold assembly of disciples, do not fear hardship. This is the perfect time to accumulate merit and cultivate virtue. Within this bodhimanda, we are all one family. By dedicating yourself to the welfare of others, you are not only helping them but also purifying your own heart. Consider these essential practices for a harmonious life:
- Maintain a gentle and pleasant countenance, which brings clarity to your spirit.Greet others with a warm smile, for this brings joy to their hearts.Understand that the greatest beneficiary of your kindness is, in fact, yourself.
Transcending the Ego
Do not allow afflictions or worries to take root in your mind. When you compare yourself to others or focus on status, you lose the greatest treasure of all. The fluctuation of your mental notes is the source of your suffering. Instead, recognise that every being possesses the same Buddha-nature. We are all born from the same source. Regardless of how others treat you, you must always respond with a sincere heart. Do not be led astray by , personal ego, and selfishness. By raising your awareness, you allow your Wisdom to blossom.
The Infinite Power of the Buddha-Name
Let the name of Namo Amituofo resonate everywhere. Chant it with devotion: Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo. Let the Buddha-name flow into your heart, filling every corner of your being. When you realise that Namo Amituofo is within you and you are one with the Buddha, you will find that this very place is no different from the of Ultimate Bliss. This teaching was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
