The Path of the Buddha's Children
Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju
Delivered at the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, Hong Kong, 2019
The Rarity of This Moment
Where do the flowers bloom, and where do they truly exist? In the vast, boundless ocean of existence, we are but a single grain of sand. It is a rare and precious occurrence that we have gathered at this very moment. Let us align our hearts with the Buddha and vow to save all beings, guiding them toward the of Ultimate Bliss. This gathering is not merely a coincidence; it is a convergence of that allows us to walk the path of the Buddha together.
The Journey of
The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has established a branch in Hong Kong, known as the Jingpin Lianxiang. Practitioner Su, accompanied by the Buddha's children, has travelled a long and dusty road to arrive here. Their journey represents the tireless effort of those who have dedicated their lives to the mission of the Buddha. With the arrival of this group, the fragrance of the lotus flower now permeates the entire Realm, and the sentient beings in the void have long been waiting for this opportunity to be saved.
Purifying the Heart and Mind
To truly benefit from this Dharma assembly, you must listen to the sutras with a focused mind. By understanding the profound principles of the Dharma, you can begin to untangle the knots of grievances accumulated over countless lifetimes. When the light of the Buddha shines upon this assembly, and the Buddha's hand is extended to guide us, we must realise that such an encounter is incredibly difficult to come by. You must cherish this moment, for it is a turning point in your spiritual journey.
Unity in the Dharma
In the eyes of the Buddha, there is no separation between this world and other realms, nor is there any distinction between Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. We are all part of one body, sharing the same nature. You, I, and all other beings are old acquaintances from past lives. In the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, there is no such thing as discrimination or division. We are all gathered here at this Dharma assembly to participate in the same sacred practice. Let us join our voices in chanting the name of Namo Amituofo, so that we may all receive the Buddha's grace and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss together.
Recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
