The Mastery of a Balanced Mind

Those who can truly master their own minds are able to maintain a state of , , and a spirit of Generosity at all times. When one is the master of their own heart, they are not easily swayed by external circumstances or internal fluctuations. In contrast, those who cannot master their minds often fall into the traps of selfishness and ego. They place their own desires above all else, allowing their lives to be governed by the following negative states:

  • Anger: When one allows anger to take control, it clouds the original nature and creates deep discord within and mind.
  • Greed: This is the inability to let go. It manifests as a strong attachment to possessions, where one constantly thinks, "This is mine," and suffers from an insatiable desire to own and control.

When we are unable to let go of these attachments, we lose our inner freedom. We become slaves to our own emotions rather than the masters of our spiritual journey.

The Radiance of a Joyful Heart

A joyful heart is not merely a fleeting emotion; it is a profound state of being that resonates through every level of our existence. This heart has the power to influence both the physical body and the spirit. When the heart is filled with genuine joy, the body becomes light and vibrant, and the spirit naturally follows suit. Joy is a form of positive energy—a powerful force that is consistently accompanied by kindness, benevolence, and light.

Those who maintain a joyful heart radiate a unique presence. Others can sense the positive, kind, and luminous aura emanating from them. Because their spiritual and mental states are stable, they do not suffer from the extreme emotional highs and lows that plague so many. Instead, they remain steady, grounded, and serene.

The Magnetism of Positive Energy

When a practitioner consistently maintains a joyful heart, they experience what we call joy. Their faces naturally reveal compassion, and people are naturally drawn to them, finding it easy to approach and learn from them. In such moments, when you offer the simple, sacred phrase "Namo Amituofo" to another person, you are planting a of within their . This seed will eventually sprout, ensuring that they will one day be saved by the infinite compassion of Namo Amituofo.

Furthermore, maintaining a joyful heart operates on the principle that like attracts like. By cultivating this positive frequency, you naturally help negative conditions fade away while inviting supportive, virtuous conditions to manifest. Consequently, the ripening of negative is temporarily delayed, and your may retreat to observe from a distance, as they find no resonance with your current state of light.

Guarding Against the Shadows

We must remain vigilant. If your positive energy wanes and your sense of righteousness diminishes, the seeds of anger may begin to stir once more. When this happens, the karmic creditors within your body may manifest, and attached spirits may find an opportunity to enter. This leads to a loss of self-mastery, where you are no longer the one in charge of your own actions and thoughts. Therefore, you must be extremely cautious and diligent in your practice.

Always remember to return to the source of all light and protection. By keeping your heart joyful and your practice steady, you ensure that you remain under the compassionate guidance of the Buddha. Let your practice be a constant, unwavering devotion.
