The Sacred Sanctuary of Hsiang Kuang

On the morning of June 6, 2017, during the early hours of walking meditation, Practitioner Shi Faxi recorded these sacred teachings from Namo Amituofo. These words serve as a beacon for all practitioners, illuminating the path of the vow and the urgent mission of our time.

Namo Amituofo teaches us that is manifested through action. By embodying the , we create a space where salvation becomes possible. This place, Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, is not merely a physical location; it is a sanctuary of the truth. While the world outside is filled with the dust and turbulence of the samsaric realm, within these four hundred acres, a clear boundary is drawn. Inside, there is a profound coolness and purity, a stark contrast to the chaotic and defiled nature of the external world.

This environment is the very essence of our practice. It provides the necessary conditions for us to realise our true nature and find the peace that the world cannot offer. We must recognise the value of this space, for it is a rare and precious refuge in these times.

The Digital Path of the Dharma

We have opened the doors to the world through the internet, yet we have not yet seen the full arrival of those who are destined to connect with us. We have not yet heard the widespread echoes of our efforts, but this must not deter us. We must continue our work with the same dedication we showed yesterday. Managing our digital presence requires a sincere heart and a steadfast vow. It demands that we maintain our perseverance and continue to sow the seeds of the Dharma across the virtual landscape.

The teachings shared here are precious. Whether they come from the vastness of the void or through the guidance of the Buddha and the masters, they are not ordinary occurrences. They are a form of spreading the Dharma, much like planting seeds in a vast field. We must ensure that these teachings reach those who have the karmic affinity to receive them. Practitioner Su has expressed his willingness to carry this burden, standing firm with an unyielding spirit, ready to shoulder the weight of the void to fulfil the temple's original vow.

The Courage to Save Beings

The mission of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre requires immense courage and strength. To guide sentient beings across the sea of rebirth, navigating through the mud and filth of this world, is a task that cannot be accomplished without a powerful vow. Without such courage, it is difficult to move forward; without such a vow, it is difficult to flourish.

The spirits of the departed are suffering, and their need for salvation is urgent. They are aware of everything, and they know the significance of this place. When they understand the truth of this sanctuary, they will flock here in vast numbers. The number of beings seeking help is immeasurable, and Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is no ordinary place. It is a site where Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are present.

Cherishing the Opportunity

We must cherish every moment, for the opportunity to receive these teachings is rare. The manifestations of the void are illusory and ever-changing; we cannot be certain when such conditions will arise again. We must be like soldiers who train for a thousand days to be ready for a single moment of need. We must be prepared, ever-vigilant, and ready to face whatever challenges arise, just as the ancient wisdom suggests: when the soldiers come, we block them; when the water rises, we build an earth dam.

We are living in a time of great transition, where the of thousands of years is coming to a head. The establishment of this temple, the use of modern technology, and the exposure through media are all part of a grand design. Every word spoken by Practitioner Su is a method of practice. We should familiarise ourselves with these methods, for they are far superior to wandering aimlessly on our own.

A Direct Flight to the West

As we move forward, we invite all who see this to believe in this true Dharma. In the future, we shall walk this path together. Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a place of brilliant light, where Namo Amituofo personally leads us on a direct flight to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. We hope that this message spreads to the ten directions, inviting everyone to join in this magnificent endeavour.

The temple is here to help us navigate the great catastrophe of the Dharma-ending age. By breaking through the limitations of time and space, the temple offers a unique path. We are all united in one heart, dedicated to the propagation of the Pure Land teachings. The strength of our mission lies in the collective effort of the fourfold assembly of disciples. When we walk this path together, our strength is gathered, and our success is assured. With Namo Amituofo abiding here, our journey to the Western Pure Land is certain to begin.
