Teachings from Namo Amituofo on the Practice of Practitioner Su
Teachings from Namo Amituofo, recorded by Venerable HaiZe.
On this day, April 24, 2022, Namo Amituofo offers these profound teachings to all practitioners.
The Heart of the
As a practitioner of the Buddha's path, you must learn to perceive the suffering of all beings. It is not enough to merely observe; you must cultivate a heart that is deeply committed to helping all beings leave suffering behind. The path is a supreme, magnificent method within Mahayana Buddhism. It is the direct path to Buddhahood, yet it requires a specific foundation. If one lacks the potential for the Great Vehicle, or if one does not possess the capacity to save both oneself and others, it is difficult to achieve true success.
To deliver sentient beings on a vast scale, one must possess both true attainment and the necessary conditions. It is not sufficient to simply hold a wish to save others; one must also possess the strength of Faith, Vows, and Practice. Only through the integration of these three can one realise and attain the fruit of Buddhahood. The Pure Land path demands that you be fiercely diligent, moving forward with unwavering focus. Within this finite life, you must complete your Faith, Vows, and Practice. Only then will you have the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land or realise your true nature and attain Buddhahood in this very lifetime.
The Purification of
In the process of realising the fruit of Buddhahood, the purification of your Six Roots is essential. Without this purity, one cannot achieve the ultimate goal. When a practitioner reaches a state of extreme purity and Goodness, the nature of the Six Sense Organs becomes fully manifest. At the moment of realising one's true nature and attaining Buddhahood, the supernatural powers naturally appear:
- Heavenly Eye: The ability to see across all realms.
- Divine Hearing: The ability to hear the sounds of all worlds.
- Reading Minds: The ability to perceive the thoughts of others.
- Knowing Past Lives: The ability to see the karmic history of all beings.
- Divine Foot: The ability to travel anywhere instantly.
- Extinction of Outflows: The state of being free from all karmic attachments.
With these powers, one can traverse all Buddha-lands in a single thought. This is a necessary capability for the work of teaching and transforming beings.
The Manifestation of the Divine Foot
The speed at which a spirit can travel is beyond anything the human world can achieve. This is a natural manifestation of the spirit's inherent abilities. As you progress toward realising your true nature, your spirit is continuously elevated and undergoes profound purification. Consequently, a pure and good spirit will naturally reveal various innate abilities, which serve as tools for the work of delivering sentient beings.
Among these, the Divine Foot is currently being utilised by the of Practitioner Su during the work of for countless manifestations. The speed of this movement is extraordinary; it manifests according to one's vows and allows for in travel. One can move wherever the heart desires, traversing all Buddha-lands in the time it takes for a single thought to arise. This is the power of the Divine Foot, which arises naturally as one's practice reaches maturity. Namo Amituofo.
