The Profound Meaning of Benefiting Sentient Beings

Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:

To truly benefit sentient beings is to provide them with genuine, lasting advantages. It is an act that brings them profound joy, peace of mind, and comfort of body. This is the manifestation of the infinite compassion that all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas hold for every living being.

The Infinite Compassion of Namo Amituofo

In the hands of Namo Amituofo, there are always infinite treasures. Within the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, which He has established, all beings find that their every wish is fulfilled the moment it arises. This is the embodiment of the compassionate vows of Namo Amituofo:

• He fulfills the wishes of all beings at all times.
• He ensures that no being is left to suffer from worry, anxiety, or sorrow.
• He takes practical, decisive action to ensure that all sentient beings are truly benefited and find happiness.

The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas often employ a skillful method: they first use the desires of beings as a hook to attract them, and only afterwards do they lead them into the profound wisdom of the Buddha. To save sentient beings, the Buddhas first allow their worldly desires to be satisfied. Once these beings are content, they are guided into the Buddha’s gate. There, with compassion and wisdom, the Buddhas provide teachings tailored to the capacity of each individual, ensuring that every being receives the maximum benefit.

The Great Guide of All Beings

Namo Amituofo is the Great Guide for all sentient beings. He understands exactly what every being requires, and He has the power to fulfill those needs. More importantly, He helps beings understand the nature of reality, guiding them into the vast, boundless ocean of the Buddha’s wisdom. Through this guidance, they are empowered to attain Buddhahood.

The Presence at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre

Today, Namo Amituofo is residing here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Under the blessings and guidance of Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su has established the Western Dharma-Nature Land. This sacred space has brought immense benefits to countless sentient beings.

A Universal Scope of Salvation

For many years, this work has extended its grace to the Earth, the Dharma Realm, the entire universe, the Milky Way, and even to demonic beings, beings from other dimensions, and countless other sentient beings. The work of salvation has been tireless:

• It provides a pure and peaceful land for all beings to reside.
• It allows countless beings across the infinite spaces of the Western Dharma-Nature Land to transcend their limitations.
• It enables them to listen to the sutras and hear the Dharma.
• It encourages them to arouse the Bodhi mind and single-mindedly recite Namo Amituofo, and make the vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Path to Liberation

One might ask: can those in the Western Dharma-Nature Land be led by Practitioner Su to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss? The answer is clear:

• If a being arouses the Bodhi mind and makes the sincere vow to be reborn, they can, through the power of chanting Namo Amituofo, enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
• If a being has not yet aroused the Bodhi mind and lacks the vow to be reborn, they will instead be guided to the human realm or the heavenly realm.

This is a magnificent and rare opportunity for liberation—a chance to leave suffering behind and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land. It is the practical conduct of the Buddha in saving all beings. At this very moment, because Namo Amituofo is residing at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, all beings who chant His name and make the vow to be reborn can receive the Buddha’s blessings, undergo Chao Du, and have their wishes fulfilled.

This is an opportunity that is difficult to encounter even in millions of years. It is the supreme grace bestowed upon us by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for the benefit of all sentient beings.
