The Radiance of the Amituofo Village: A Message from Lee Kuan Yew
A Message from the Spirit of Lee Kuan Yew
Recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Faxi
The Ever-Present Radiance of the West
I, Lee Kuan Yew, have observed that the radiance of the of Ultimate Bliss has begun to shine with increasing brilliance. In truth, this light has always been present, casting its glow upon our world. However, in these past few days, this luminosity has become even more magnificent, appearing as if countless rays of light are converging into one. I have inquired with others who accompany me in this realm, and they have explained that this is due to the construction of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. A new and extraordinary atmosphere is beginning to emerge here.
In the future, more and more people will feel the calling to move into the Amituofo Village. This place possesses a magnificence that is a miracle unseen in the mundane world. There is so much confusion and suffering in the world, yet it is only here that one has the true opportunity to receive the help needed to transcend it.
Finding Peace Beyond Worldly Power
Many people in the world are blind to the spiritual desolation that surrounds them, yet here, one can finally perceive true purity. If you were to ask the people of this world whether they desire to attain a power that brings peace of mind, I believe everyone would answer with a resounding yes. In my past life, although I held the position of a national leader, the truth is that my heart was rarely at peace. I often used the weight of my work and the exercise of power to suppress the restless thoughts within my own mind.
Most people are much the same; we all carry a dark side within our hearts. It is only now, having come into contact with the Buddha’s teachings, that I have come to realise the necessity of unravelling these burdens. A human life is not inherently extraordinary, but to attain true peace and freedom—that is the most magnificent achievement of all. As Lee Kuan Yew, I wish to share with you the reality of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss’s magnificence.
A Father’s Hope for the Future
If my son, Lee Hsien Loong, could come here to understand these truths, I believe he would finally comprehend the intentions I held for him as a father. The goodness of this place can only be known through one’s own personal experience. I truly hope that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can welcome even more beings, so that everyone may come to know the excellence of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
- To prepare for immigration to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is the greatest good one can pursue.
- It is a path that leads away from the cycle of rebirth.
- It is the ultimate destination for those seeking to leave suffering behind and find happiness.
I am deeply grateful that the of the Buddha has descended upon this place, providing all these wonderful opportunities for liberation. May all beings find their way to this light.
Namo Amituofo.
