Koo Chen-fu, a prominent Taiwanese business leader and former chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, sought deliverance through the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. This interview, recorded on August 12, 2019, captures his reflections from the spiritual realm regarding the hidden dangers of modern technology and the necessity of addressing the root causes of karmic suffering.

Koo Chen-fu speaks:

"In this current generation, information flows far too rapidly. There are simply too many channels through which messages can be disseminated, making it incredibly difficult to distinguish between what is true and what is false. There is so much malice hidden within these messages, cleverly packaged and circulating everywhere. This leads people to fall into lower states of existence, especially given how advanced technology now dominates our daily lives. Most people spend the majority of their day using mobile phones, computers, and the internet to transmit or collect information, work, socialise, shop, or seek entertainment. Yet, they do not realise that these actions are slowly inputting all of this content—these images and sounds—directly into their . Gradually, these influences begin to affect and even replace their own thoughts during their work, their daily interactions, and even in their dreams at night."

The Invisible Trap of Modern Convenience

"As I mentioned yesterday, back in my time, a momentary lapse in focus while striving for my career caused my soul to be drawn into another space. This resulted in my entire body, my emotions, my thoughts, and my mental notes being deeply affected. In the environment of that era, things were relatively simple; there were no such powerful temptations! Today, the power of these temptations is ten, even a hundred times greater than it was in the past. The more convenient life becomes, the more deeply people sink into these traps, unable to extricate themselves. Do you see these so-called smartphones? They are powerful, convenient, and lightweight, yet people do not realise that with every swipe of the screen, they are taking one step closer to being drawn into that same space. These are secret matters that remain largely unknown to the public."

The Truth Behind Physical Decay

"In reality, there is a specific reason for every instance of cellular ageing, stiffening of the meridians, and the brittleness of bones! Nothing truly happens by accident. There is a cause for every effect. To resolve these karmic relationships, one must address the source—what we call the '' who have attached themselves to to seek revenge. I have tried everything: medication, massage, acupuncture, herbal baths, surgery, and bone-setting. For someone like me, who was never short of money, I used countless secret remedies. But which one was truly effective? None! Not a single one could provide a lasting solution because they failed to understand the root cause. Without that understanding, it is impossible to prescribe the right medicine."

The Ultimate Path to Deliverance

"This is precisely why the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is so precious. It has the ability to eradicate these issues from the root, ensuring that the symptoms do not recur. This is the most ultimate path. If I did not already lack a physical body, I would handle and assist with everything here myself. I would ensure this place remains even more pure and free from worry, without any material afflictions or toil. I would develop everything here so that more people could know about this place, understand the Truth, escape the red dust of the mundane world, break free from suffering, and achieve the true Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo."
