The Foundation of Sincere Practice

At Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, we hold group prostrations every Thursday evening from six o'clock until nine o'clock. This is a dedicated time for practitioners to come together, humble their hearts, and align their spirits with the Buddha's teachings. Many of the participants who attend our make it a point to arrive at the temple early to join these group prostrations. They understand that this is not merely a physical exercise, but a profound act of preparation.

By engaging in these prostrations before the ceremony begins, practitioners are actively working on the purification of their Body, Speech, and Mind. When you possess this sincere intention, combined with the actual physical effort of bowing, your level of respect for the is significantly elevated. This sincerity acts as a catalyst, purifying your internal state and preparing you to receive the full of the ceremony.

Seeking the Dharma Through Respect

It is often said that the Buddha’s teachings are sought through sincerity and respect. When a practitioner approaches the Dharma with a humble and pure heart, they open themselves to profound transformations. Those who dedicate themselves to this level of preparation often find that their connection to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss becomes remarkably clear and strong.

Because of this deep-seated respect and the diligent purification of their own nature, these practitioners have an exceptionally high opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. They have transformed their confusion into and their impurity into purity. This is the fruit of their devotion.

Entering the Golden Light

I wish to remind all of you: you must chant "Namo Amituofo" with a focused and unwavering heart. When you chant with true sincerity, you enter the golden light of the Buddha. Once you are enveloped in this radiant light, you are truly on the path to entering the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

This is an opportunity that is difficult to encounter even in millions of years. Yet, for the past several years, this very process has been unfolding majestically at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, during our Thrice Yearning Ceremonies, we continue this sacred work of saving infinite beings. Namo Amituofo.
