The Spirit of Lee Kuan Yew: A Lesson in Saving the World
An Interview with the Former Prime Minister of Singapore
Recorded on July 22, 2018
This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Lee Kuan Yew, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition and his observations of the . Recorded by the disciple Haipin on July 22, 2018.
Lee Kuan Yew speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. In the past, when I looked up at the stars, I could only admire the beauty of the vast sky from afar. Now, things are different. I can personally travel among the stars, moving freely through the cosmos. It all sounds like a fairy tale, yet it is my daily reality.
Every day, I follow Practitioner Su as we travel through space to assist our friends in the universe who are in need. With a single six-character phrase—'Namo Amituofo!'—we provide a replenishment of energy. A warm, golden light follows, showering the earth and reaching even the smallest, unknown planets in the galaxy. It is truly inconceivable."
From World Leader to a Student of the Universe
"Singapore is but a tiny speck on the map. I was once proud of my ability to shape Singapore into a nation of significant international standing. However, compared to the vastness of the universe, I suddenly felt like a frog at the bottom of a well. In my previous life, I always felt that my capabilities were immense; at the very least, I managed to keep Singapore in perfect order. Although I could not satisfy everyone, I had given it my all.
It was not until the moment my wife collapsed that I felt a profound sense of helplessness. Even with the most advanced medical technology, I could not save my beloved wife. That was the first time such a feeling of powerlessness surged into my heart. Soon after, my own body began to fail. I had always thought that birth, aging, sickness, and death were simply the natural end of life. Who would have expected that the moment I drew my last breath, it would be the beginning of true suffering and ? It was only when my spirit encountered Practitioner Su that I found a turning point and the opportunity to seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land."
The Inconceivable Power of the Dharma
"The Buddha’s teachings are vast, and the power of Namo Amituofo is boundless. In the world today, only Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia has truly learned and attained the . He has proven that one does not have to wait until the moment of death to have a chance to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Once the Dharma Body is realised, one can come and go from the Western Pure Land with ease.
I know that Practitioner Su has a grand vow: to lead more aspiring young people to learn the method of realising the Dharma Body. Even when financial, human, and material resources are tight, he remains full of confidence in the Buddha. He never retreats; he pushes forward with all his might. His spirit of saving the world is incomparable. I sincerely hope that my son, Hsien Loong, can find the time to visit, to truly understand this remarkable person and this temple, and to provide his full support. This would allow more beings—visible and invisible, sentient and insentient—to benefit together, making this life truly worthwhile."
A Warning Against the Cycle of Samsara
"Everyone drinks Meng Po’s soup upon birth, forgetting everything that happened in the past. However, through practice, one can recover the true skills and genuine abilities from past lives. Now that I am in the Western Pure Land, I have realised that I, too, once entered the Buddha’s gate to practice. Samsara is truly terrifying; to be trapped in the cycle of rebirth for a thousand kalpas is a fate one cannot easily escape.
I urge those who are already practising Buddhism to recognise what the true Pure Land Dharma is. If you make the wrong offerings, not only will you fail to end the cycle of birth and death or transcend the three realms, but you will also have to bear the weight of karmic retribution. It is simply not worth it. I encourage the children of Singapore to visit the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. There is a wonderful 'Grandma' here who can teach everyone the Dharma and help you find the Dharma Body. Please, give yourselves a chance. Do not waste your energy on suspicion and doubt.
I still have so much to say to everyone, but I will leave some opportunities for you to experience it for yourselves in Australia. I believe that a journey of spiritual refinement will leave you with a harvest of great .
Namo Amituofo!"
