Venerable HaiZe: May I ask Zhang Rongfa, do you have any words you wish to share?
Zhang Rongfa: Certainly, I have much to say. My words and these letters have already been compiled into a volume, and some staff members have already received them. Please treat this as the most urgent of matters and contact the highest levels of leadership immediately; do not hesitate any longer! Today marks the third and final day of this held for the Ghost Festival. I must confess that I am deeply disappointed. Despite my previous urgings, the Evergreen Group did not proactively submit a single memorial tablet for . It feels as though my previous words were spoken in vain.
The Profound Grace of Chao Du
Only Practitioner Su, with boundless , has taken the initiative to perform Chao Du for the local spirits of our International Convention Centre, for the wandering souls, and for the memorial tablets of my own ancestors, teachers, and across many lifetimes. This act of grace has not only allowed me to receive the of rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss, but it has also extended that same opportunity to my parents, teachers, and those with whom I have had karmic entanglements throughout my many lives. I stand here today to express my deepest gratitude to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su for such immense compassion. While delivering sentient beings to the Western Pure Land is a daily practice for Practitioner Su, in reality, it is a task of monumental difficulty. Without true attainment and profound virtue, such a feat would be impossible to achieve.
True as Education
I share these truths with you now, and it would be a great tragedy if you remain indifferent or unmoved. In my life, I had heard of these matters, but I was always too busy to pay them proper attention. I would simply issue a command, and the task would be handled by others. Now that I am on this side of existence, I have finally realised the critical importance of Chao Du. Most people view religious rituals merely as a way to seek basic peace and safety. However, the true Buddha’s teachings are a form of education. This education serves to:
- Guide human beings and all sentient spirits to resolve their karmic grievances.Help them cease the cycle of illness and suffering.Break the cycle of rebirth, ensuring that while the physical body may perish, the spirit does not.Enable the spirit to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
That realm is a place of incomparable beauty and . It is a world where there are no conflicts, no disagreements, no complex planning, no assessments of gain or loss, and no worldly entanglements. All those exhausting concerns of the human world simply do not exist there. Instead, there is only harmony, serenity, and . You do not need to worry about the future, nor do you need to toil for wealth. Whatever you wish for—be it food, clothing, or shelter—is provided the moment you think of it. There are countless wonders beyond human imagination, and one lives a life that is entirely unknown to the human world.
The Path to the Western Pure Land
This world is so magnificent that I sincerely hope my family and my employees can all find their way here. If you take my words to heart and seek out Practitioner Su, you will have the opportunity to come here. However, if you are too busy, or if you choose not to believe me and treat my words as trivial, then you must be prepared for the consequences. You will continue to age, you will fall ill, and eventually, you will die. And then, you will be cast back into the cycle of rebirth. No one knows where you will end up. You might fall into the hells to suffer, or descend into the ghost realm to live in darkness without the light of the sun, or perhaps you will be reborn in the animal realm to live as a beast.
A Call to Action
These are not mere slogans. I have always been a person who acts with practicality and stability. If I had not personally experienced and witnessed these truths during this time, I would not be able to speak of them, nor would I take this opportunity to bring them to your attention. Do not think that these matters have nothing to do with you; they are, in fact, closely related to your very existence. If our past karmic creditors come to collect their debts, it manifests as:
- Disruptions in your family life, work, and career.The onset of sudden illnesses or severe diseases like cancer.A life that ends in suffering, where you find that you cannot take a single thing with you when you depart.
Chao Du is of vital importance. Living with a peaceful heart, maintaining health, avoiding illness, and ensuring the spirit does not perish—these are not mere dreams. I never imagined I would be able to articulate these truths myself. The day-long Dharma assembly is now filled with many sentient beings who have karmic affinities and are waiting for help. I must go to assist them. They are waiting for Chao Du, and I, Zhang Rongfa, am waiting for your response.
