The Nature of Perfect Roundness

In the teachings of Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, we are introduced to the profound concept of 'Roundness'. This state is described as being smooth, complete, and perfectly balanced. When we speak of this 'Roundness', we are referring to a state of being that has shed all sharp edges of the ego. Because it lacks these sharp, piercing points, it is a state that is approachable and safe for all. It is smooth and fluid, ensuring that there is no risk of causing harm to oneself or others.

This 'Roundness' represents a perfect cycle where the beginning and the end are one, leaving no room for lack or imperfection. It possesses the unique ability to both rest in stillness and move with grace. When placed upon a flat surface, it remains perfectly still; yet, when guided by the right intention, it rotates with ease. This is the essence of True Cultivation: using the temporary, worldly form to refine our spirit until we finally see our true self. When this state is achieved, the golden light of wisdom manifests above the head, signifying the of the spirit.

The Axis of the True Self

If we make our true self the axis of our lives, we find that this true self has the power to manifest all the laws of the world. Conversely, through the diligent practice of these laws, we can gradually clear away the obstacles that prevent us from seeing our true self. This is a reciprocal process of growth and discovery. By aligning our lives with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, we move from confusion to awakening, from wrong paths to the right path, and from impurity to purity.

The Power of Requesting the

Requesting the turning of the Dharma wheel is the sixth of the Ten Great Vows of Samantabhadra . It is a supreme act of Dharma Generosity. Only a truly wise person with great fortune understands the immense value of this request. It is not merely a ritual, but a profound commitment to the spread of the Truth. Wherever the Dharma wheel is turned, the teachings are disseminated, and the light of wisdom is shared with all.

A Magnificent Buddha-land

In places where the Dharma wheel constantly turns, the presence of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is assured. The Dragon and Heaven Dharma Protectors are always there to provide constant protection, ensuring that the environment remains pure and conducive to practice. This creates a magnificent Buddha-land where all sentient beings can receive the benefits of the Dharma. At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, Namo Amituofo truly abides, and through this connection, we are all guided toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
