Teachings from Namo Amituofo:

The heart of a parent is often regarded as the purest manifestation of love in this world. Naturally, parents and children share a bond of affection, providing mutual care, support, and assistance as they journey through life together. They spend much of their time helping one another navigate the myriad challenges of existence. However, the reality of many parent-child relationships is far more complex than it appears on the surface.

The Karmic Web of Relationships

The nature of any relationship between parent and child is fundamentally determined by the connections formed through the laws of and cause and effect from past lives. Most of these relationships are spent in one of two ways:

  • Repaying kindness: Where the relationship is built upon mutual gratitude and support.
  • Settling grievances: Where the relationship is burdened by past resentments and unresolved conflicts.

When the final breath comes and the physical body ceases to function, these individuals must part ways, each following the trajectory of their own accumulated karma. The coming together and the eventual drifting apart of souls is a process governed by these deep-seated karmic ties.

The Endless Cycle of Samsara

The joys and sorrows we experience in this life are merely a continuation of the experiences we have had in countless past lives. We must ask ourselves: how many more lifetimes will we spend trapped in this cycle? How many more times will we exchange roles, shifting from parent to child, or from friend to foe, only to repeat the same patterns of meeting and separation?

The manifestation of these spiritual connections in this current life is not a coincidence. It is a signal that the time has come to make a choice. Will you allow yourself to remain entangled in these cycles, destined for another round of reincarnation? Or will you choose a different path?

The Path to True Liberation

To break free from the cycle of rebirth, one must learn to "see through" and "let go" of the attachments that bind us. This is the essence of diligent practice. By transforming your karma, you can rediscover your true self-nature. When you achieve this clarity, you will no longer be subject to the suffering caused by:

  • The : Wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep.
  • The Seven Emotions: The turbulent that cloud our judgment.
  • The cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death.

By attaining this liberation, you gain the ability to save yourself, to help others, and to guide your family members toward leaving suffering and gaining happiness through rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss.

The Sanctuary of Hsiang Kuang

While the path of practice is personal, you are not alone. In your journey, you can receive support from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as from true spiritual friends. Those who have come from afar, including your own family members, can offer encouragement and strength. However, the most critical factor remains your own self-effort.

At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, the affinity is strong. Namo Amituofo, the Bodhisattvas, and the Dharma protectors are always present, guarding and guiding the fourfold assembly of disciples. You must cherish this opportunity and make the best use of your time. Engage in diligent practice, and strive to rediscover your true self-nature as soon as possible. This is the true path of the Pure Land Dharma Realm.
