The Vast Archive of the Heart

The world of the heart and mind is vast and profound. It contains the entirety of the karmic imprints from the cycle of rebirth that we have experienced throughout our accumulated lifetimes. We must understand that the world we perceive is not an external reality independent of us; rather, it is a world manifested and projected by our own hearts. While we, in our limited human perspective, may only be aware of the experiences of this current life, our heart holds the complete record of everything we have undergone throughout our many lives.

The Mirror of the Spirit

The heart resides within the spirit, and the nature of our heart directly shapes the world of our spirit. Before one has realised their true nature, the heart remains unstable and restless. Because of this instability, the spirit is dominated by impermanence and the cycle of rebirth. It lacks the power to take charge of its own destiny, and as a result, it is constantly reincarnated into various realms, taking on different physical forms. However, when the heart undergoes purification, the spirit is naturally purified along with it.

The Path to True Freedom

When the heart reaches a state of emptiness—a state of no-mind—the true nature of the spirit is finally revealed. This is the original face we possessed before our parents gave birth to us, our true self. At this stage, the spirit that has realised its true nature is no longer governed by impermanence. It gains the following freedoms:

  • It is no longer trapped within the cycle of rebirth.
  • The spirit gains the ability to freely enter and exit the physical body.
  • and spirit are no longer subject to the control of external spirits or demon crowds.
  • The Body-Mind-Spirit achieves a state of perfect harmony.

The Responsibility of

Those who have realised their true nature are naturally endowed with a heart of and great vows. They do not seek liberation for themselves alone. Instead, they naturally shoulder the responsibility of teaching all beings, helping them to leave suffering behind, and guiding them toward rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss. This is the natural expression of a heart that has returned to its original purity. May we all strive to purify our hearts, realise our true nature, and follow the path of the Buddha to save all beings. Namo Amituofo.
