The Art of Letting Go

A single laugh in this world can unravel layers of deep-seated sorrow. When we look at the complex web of grievances and debts we have accumulated over countless lifetimes, we realise that it is impossible to calculate or settle them one by one. Instead, it is far better to simply empty the heart. When the heart is empty, it is no longer burdened by the weight of the past.

The past is nothing more than a fleeting dream. If you ask where those moments have gone, you will find they have vanished into the void. We must wake up from this dream of existence. Only when we are truly awake can we attain the state of purity that is our original nature.

Seeing Through the Illusion

Consider everything you see before you in this world. When you need an object, it is there; when you no longer need it, it disappears. Everything in this material realm is like a magical illusion. Do not mistake these illusions for the ultimate truth. You must understand what is truly real to avoid being led astray by these phantoms. If you remain trapped in the dream, you will suffer, and it will be difficult to find your way out.

Though the human body is limited in its lifespan, it is a precious vessel that allows you to awaken your true self. Do not let time and space pass you by, for once time is gone, it will never return. We have all passed through the heavy currents of in our past lives. Now, through diligent practice, we can resolve these karmic debts. When we let go of the past, we are no longer bound by karma; we exist only in the present moment.

The Vastness of the Mind

The space at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre is open, allowing us to perceive other realms of existence. You must open your mind-capacity until nothing is hidden within your heart. When you reach this state, you will find that your heart is vast enough to encompass all things in the universe.
