Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:

This body is unique; because of the body, there are sensations and feelings, which are the signs of the six realms of rebirth.

Only by letting go of bodily sensations can one have the opportunity to leave the six realms of rebirth.

Are the sensations and feelings at this moment your own,

or are they the sensations of the countless beings within your body, such as karmic creditors, attached spirits, and demon crowds?

You are often in a state where you cannot be the master without realising it,

because at this time, the body is not controlled by your true self.

When the three hun souls and seven po souls of the body are not gathered, and the true self is trapped and cannot be the master,

there are countless beings within the body. Which one can be the master? All can be the master.

This is when karmic creditors seek revenge and repay grievances,

and it is also when negative causes are created, causing this body to suffer the pain of evil consequences.

This body is a false body; furthermore, bodily sensations and feelings are even less real.

What is called "false" is illusory and unreal;

it is the phenomenon of arising and ceasing due to the gathering and scattering of Causal Conditions. Once it passes, it disappears and does not exist; it does not exist permanently.

The Five Aggregates (form, feeling, perception, impulse, consciousness),

the Five Poisons (greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, doubt),

and the Five Desires (wealth, sex, fame, food, sleep), which are the five roots of the hells, are all false.

Do not be deceived by false appearances, having bodily sensations and feelings within them,

or creating the three karmas of Body, Speech, and Mind, thereby harming yourself and others.

If there are sensations and feelings, or what is received by the Six Roots (eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind),

and the Six Dusts (form, sound, scent, taste, touch, Dharma) enter the consciousness, they become karma upon entering the consciousness.

This is the karmic appearance of the true self forming the karmic conditions and the causes and effects within the six realms of rebirth,

and the reason for being reincarnated endlessly according to karma.

People do not know this, so they are reincarnated in the six realms of existence without end, all because of having this body.

If you can understand this, and not be deceived by bodily sensations and feelings,

then you have the opportunity to escape the six realms of rebirth.

Letting go of bodily sensations is an important part of practice.

If you cannot let go, you will often be led by bodily sensations,

and you will also be controlled by karma and unable to be the master; this is not your true self.

Those who practise and desire to realise their true nature should let go of bodily sensations. After understanding this truth,

immediately cut off bodily sensations and feelings, so that you can attain coolness and see the truth clearly;

otherwise, you will be blinded by bodily sensations and feelings.

How can you see the truth clearly and not be deceived by various sensations and bodily sensations?

Chant Buddha's name, chant one Buddha's name to the end,

which can break through confusion and eliminate delusion, discrimination, and attachment.

This is an important method to save yourself and save beings.
