Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:

Every human body has a true self.

The life of the true self is without beginning or end, spanning millions of billions of years, or even longer;

it is unknown when it began, and there is no end.

This is the truth of the spirit; every spirit is like this.

Since time immemorial, every spirit, in the process of reincarnation and taking on a body,

is "born alone and dies alone, comes alone and goes alone".

In the cycle of the six realms of existence, one faces birth and death alone, drifting into the six realms according to one's karma.

Where does one go? No one knows.

Coming and going alone between the realms of good and evil, experiencing this world and others alone.

No matter where the true self goes, it comes and goes in solitude, with no one to accompany it, and no one can take its place.

In the life of the spirit, every spirit has different experiences,

even when being human in this life, whether living a life of wealth and splendour or poverty and hardship,

regardless of one's status or experiences,

when the body dies and the spirit leaves the body, one becomes a lonely spirit with no one to accompany them.

This is the world of spiritual reincarnation, and the human world is one of these realms.

One must see through the truth of this fact, stop entering the cycle of reincarnation, and know the suffering so as to seek liberation.

Practise in the Pure Land, through purification, and then more purification,

allowing the trapped true self the opportunity to break free and become the master,

reclaiming the self-nature, finding the bright side of the spirit,

no longer coming and going in solitude, being a lonely spirit, but instead becoming a Buddha.

I am a Buddha, a Buddha who has come to save people,

rather than letting karma and karmic creditors be the master, suffering through all the sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, and death.

I am a Buddha; by chanting one Buddha's name to the end, one can find the true self.

I am a Buddha; no one can take my place, no longer coming and going in solitude,

one must "arouse the Bodhi mind and single-mindedly recite Namo Amituofo",

and be a Buddha who makes the vow to chant Namo Amituofo and enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

May we practise diligently in this life at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre where Namo Amituofo is residing here, realise one's true nature and attain Buddhahood,

and follow the Buddha to save all suffering beings.

I am a Buddha, a Buddha who makes the vow to chant Namo Amituofo and enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, no longer coming and going in solitude,

wishing to continue diligent practice in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, attain Buddhahood,

and return to the worldly realm of Earth to save countless sentient beings with karmic affinity.
