This is a record of an interview with Xie Qinglian, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the human world, recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on July 23, 2021.

Xie Qinglian speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. My child, after such a long and arduous struggle, your father has finally arrived in the Western Land and seen Namo Amituofo. I know that during those final days, all of you found it so difficult to let me go, but now, everything has finally passed. Even your sister has let go of her attachments and chose to depart for the Western Land on the same day as I did. You can finally set your heart at ease and let us go, for we are now standing right before Namo Amituofo."

A Doctor's Realisation

"I want to thank you, my child. Thank you for finding the Buddha and saving your father. During my life, I worked as a doctor to save others, yet in the end, I could not help anyone achieve true liberation. I could not even heal myself; I still had to face the reality of death. In this world, those who knew me would say that I was a good man, but I still could not escape the laws of and cause and effect. What I owed to others in the past, I still had to repay.

Now that I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my entire being feels so refreshed. The profound peace of this world brings a smile to my face that I never knew before. Returning to the Western Land, I realise that I still have many debts to my . If it were possible, I would like to help perform Chao Du for them. Otherwise, having returned to the Western Land, I do not know how long it would be before I could come down again. I hope to repay at least some of my debts so that I can feel at peace. This is my responsibility to my karmic creditors, and it is also the basic moral foundation of being a human being."

The Importance of the

"My child, you and your siblings have always been my pride. Now, each of you has your own Causal Conditions to develop. Whether you encounter good or bad conditions in this world, they are all just part of the worldly experience. Although I studied the Buddha’s teachings, I was still clinging to so many things I could not let go of, which is why I fell ill. Ever since I was guided to the to listen to the Dharma talks, I have been incredibly diligent. I did not dare to be the slightest bit lazy because I truly cherish this precious opportunity.

Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks cover so many essential points. Every single point felt as if it were striking directly at my heart; many times, I felt a great tremor within my soul. This is such a wonderful Buddha’s teaching. My child, I hope you can help more people understand it. Let everyone know the importance of seeking liberation—that is the only way to truly save people."

A Final Message to the Family

"Do not bicker with others over the things right in front of you, because none of those things are more important than focusing on studying the Buddha’s teachings right now. I hope you can learn to let go of your heart, listen carefully to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks, and put them into practice in your daily life. You are such a thoughtful daughter. Please take good care of your mother, your siblings, your husband, and your children. The most important thing is to teach them to study the Buddha’s teachings so that none of you have to be reincarnated in the cycle of rebirth ever again!"

"Your father, Xie Qinglian. Namo Amituofo."
