A Father's Plea from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss

This is a record of an interview with Qiu Jinqiang, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the cycle of rebirth to liberation. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxi, on September 2, 2022.

Qiu Jinqiang speaks:

"Yuming, my child, it is Father. I am so happy that I can stand here and speak to you today. If I had not experienced what I have, I would never have known how arduous the cycle of rebirth truly is. I certainly would not have known that after death, one must endure such immense karmic retribution. I am filled with deep remorse for the countless sins I committed throughout my many lives. If the Buddha had not compassionately saved me, I would still be trapped deep underground, living as an earthworm in total darkness. Who would have ever known I was there? No one would have known that I, Qiu Jinqiang, was suffering in such a state.

The Futility of Worldly Wealth

During my life, I made mistakes and held onto my own stubborn habits. I did not realise that these actions would inevitably summon my karmic creditors from past lives. I had no idea the impact would be so profound. Only after I died did I truly see the reality of these things, but by then, it was already too late. Even if I had possessed all the wealth in the world while I was alive, it would have been useless to me after death. There was no way to help myself escape that agony. My child, do you have any idea how heartbreaking that is? You can call out to the heavens and the earth, but no one answers you. It is suffering! It is truly, truly suffering!

A Father's Warning for the Living

Yuming, I know that your life is going well now. Your husband takes good care of you, and the rest of the family is doing fine. But you must think about the days ahead and look further into the future. Having walked this path myself, I know the bitterness of it. I do not want you to go through what I did. You have the chance to save yourselves now, so you must know how to seize it!

It was only on the day I was saved that I came to know this place—the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. I had no knowledge of this place before, only that I had finally been rescued. During the process of Chao Du, I saw so many beings who had come to collect debts from me. It was the Buddha’s compassion that led them away. I am deeply moved that the Buddha saved me, and it is thanks to the dedicated heart of Practitioner Su that I have this opportunity to speak these words today.

The Reality of Karmic Debt

You must believe! I am Qiu Jinqiang. I hope you will all come to learn the Dharma—to truly learn the Dharma and change yourselves. You must also perform Chao Du for your own karmic creditors. You must walk this path early; do not wait until it is too late, for that will be truly painful. Right now, your bodies may only show minor ailments. If you do not treat these small problems, they will eventually become major issues that no medicine can cure. No amount of money can buy back your health, especially since these problems are not merely physical—they are caused by beings, by karmic creditors coming to collect their debts! I see this very clearly now. You must come here!

A Promise of Reunion

I am now practising with the Buddha, and I am changing myself. You can come here to find me. Although my physical body has died, my spirit is still alive. Come here, and I will be able to respond to you.

Finally, I want to tell you that I have reached the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I will be waiting for you here, and I hope that you will all be able to come. Do not be suspicious, and do not doubt this place. Just come here and see for yourselves!
