A Father's Warning from Beyond
An Interview with the Spirit of Lee Kuan Yew
Recorded by Chief Writer Hai Pin on September 14, 2018
This article records a dialogue with the spirit of the late Lee Kuan Yew, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. This session was recorded on September 14, 2018, by Chief Writer Hai Pin.
Lee Kuan Yew speaks:
"I look down at my feet. I am barefoot, sprinting forward with a frantic, relentless intensity, as if I am chasing prey with lethal precision. I look around, but there is no one and nothing in sight. Why am I running so fast? I look down again and realise that the ground beneath me is covered in sharp, piercing thorns. It is impossible to stand still, let alone rest. There is no other path to choose; I have no option but to keep running, hoping to pass through this nightmare as quickly as possible."
The Agony of the Hells
"I try to force myself to truly feel the physical suffering endured by the countless spirits I see before me. How could I have known? The pain of each step is like a dagger to the heart, a sensation of ten thousand needles piercing through my soul. It is excruciating beyond words. And yet, this is merely a tiny fraction—a mere one-ten-thousandth—of the torture being manifested here. As more and more hells pass before my eyes, I find myself turning my head away. I cannot bear to look any longer."
"During this morning's , Practitioner Su led the true selves of several virtuous beings on a tour of the hell realms. I accompanied them, and what I have described is but one of the many scenes I witnessed."
The Cycle of Forgetfulness
"People are so forgetful. Even though the experience of suffering leaves a deep impression, whenever they find themselves back in the human world, they are once again seduced by the and . They fall back into the game of chasing fame and fortune, creating endless . The guardians of the hells shake their heads in despair; the prisons are overflowing with spirits, yet they are powerless to stop these stubborn, ignorant souls from returning time and time again."
"The more I see, the more terrified I become. Now, I understand with absolute clarity why the fame, wealth, and status that people in the human world so desperately crave are such dangerous traps. To achieve their goals, people often resort to any means necessary, using every trick in the book. They create heavy karma without even realising that they will eventually have to bear the full weight of the laws of karma and cause and effect."
A Plea to My Son
"Education in the laws of karma and cause and effect is truly of the utmost importance. Hsien Loong, if you were to walk through these hells that everyone fears, just as your father has, and then look at your own reflection, you would be terrified. The physical discomfort you experience cannot be solved by simply going to a hospital, taking medicine, or getting injections, as most people suggest. Those are merely superficial treatments that do not address the root cause. Most people do not realise that such ailments are often signs of retribution being suffered in the hells or the result of spiritual attachment."
"As your father, I am deeply concerned for your health. Only here, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, can the root of these problems be thoroughly unravelled and resolved. Come here. Experience this for yourself. You may find an unexpected harvest, and you will come to understand how to manage and truly flourish. I believe this is the most urgent task at hand—a great, virtuous act that benefits the people. You will not be wrong to follow this path."
"I am here, waiting to speak with you. Do not let me be disappointed again, waiting for a reunion that feels like it will never come."
"Your father, Lee Kuan Yew."
