A Long-Awaited Arrival in the Western Pure Land

This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Deng Yiping, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the spirit realm to the Western Pure Land, made possible through the compassionate intervention of the Centre. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on December 8, 2023.

Lay Practitioner Deng Yiping speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Deng Yiping. I kneel before the Buddha with a heart full of sincerity and gratitude, my eyes streaming with tears that I simply cannot stop. Oh, the radiant dignity of Namo Amituofo! My compassionate Father, this is the day I have longed for my entire life. Today, I have finally arrived at the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss!

I must express my deepest gratitude to Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. During my life, I never had the opportunity to meet Practitioner Su. It was only after my passing, through the compassionate help and Chao Du performed by Venerable Laimiao, that I was given the chance to be rescued. Practitioner Su reached into the dark, confined spaces where I was trapped and pulled my spirit out, personally leading me here to the Western Pure Land today."

The Unparalleled Skills of Practitioner Su

"While I was in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, I witnessed the incredible skills of Practitioner Su. Truly, I have never seen anything like it in all my years of practice. To study the Dharma and attain such profound capabilities—it is absolutely extraordinary. It is a testament to the power of true cultivation.

In my life, I was a practitioner of the Dharma. I spent decades chanting the name of the Buddha, with a single-minded desire to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Yet, how could I have known that, in the end, I would not have the strength to reach the Western Pure Land on my own? I found myself trapped in a cycle, chanting within a confined space, much like I did when I was alive. I was lost, and despite my efforts, I could not break through the barrier."

The Compassion of Venerable Laimiao

"I am so deeply grateful to Venerable Laimiao for helping me. Without her intervention, no matter how much chanting was done for me, I would have remained unable to reach the Western Pure Land. Venerable Laimiao has helped so many people with such immense compassion; I am eternally thankful. That day, when Venerable Laimiao invited Practitioner Su to rescue my spirit, I saw a brilliant, massive golden light. I thought the Buddha had come to receive me personally, so I hurried toward that light with all my might. It was not the Western Pure Land immediately, but rather the Western Dharma-Nature Land, where Practitioner Su had prepared a beautiful, radiant lotus seat for me to sit upon."

Witnessing the Dharma Assembly

"As I sat upon that lotus seat, I watched the proceedings at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in silence, my heart still chanting the name of the Buddha. The more I watched, the more joy filled my heart, for I saw so many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gathered there. Later, I saw countless sentient beings arriving to seek Chao Du. Every Dharma assembly is filled with spirits in such deep suffering. Seeing them finally encounter the Buddha, I felt such immense happiness for them.

My children do not yet understand the compassion of the Buddha. I hope that they will have the opportunity to encounter the Dharma in their own time. However, I know that this cannot be forced; it must follow the natural flow of Causal Conditions. It will depend entirely on their own good roots, Blessings, and Causal Conditions.

I am so grateful to the Buddha. Truly, I am filled with gratitude. Namo Amituofo is of such great compassion, and Practitioner Su is so compassionate. Namo Amituofo."
