A Mother's Message from the Western Pure Land

This is a record of an interview with Yang Yuanque, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the cycle of rebirth to the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxi, on April 14, 2023.

Yang Yuanque speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. To be honest, I was never one for many words, but through the help I have received here, I have finally begun to wake up. I looked back and realised I had been lost for so many years. When I thought of my husband and my children, my heart felt truly heavy with sorrow.

The Path to Liberation

My life, in the end, did not go smoothly. I caused everyone so much grief and worry. Thankfully, there is this place. I now know of this compassionate person called Practitioner Su. I am profoundly grateful for his life-saving grace; he helped me find liberation from my suffering and brought me to such a wonderful place to practise. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is incredibly serene and tranquil. It is truly a place where the Buddha’s Pure Land manifests. All of you should come here to see it for yourselves.

A Message to My Family

I have spent much time reflecting during this period. Originally, I had so many things I wanted to say to everyone, but in the end, I have decided to keep it simple. I am so happy and grateful that we were able to be a family in this lifetime; I truly cherished that bond. Now, we exist in different worlds. Although you cannot see me, I am able to see you quite easily from where I am now. I want you to know that I am doing very well. I have already arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I hope that all of you will eventually come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss so that we may be reunited. I will be here, waiting for your return.

The Urgency of Practice

Time passes so quickly. Everyone has their own life path to walk, but in the end, every life must face its conclusion. Now that this place exists, we do not have to be separated after our time in this world ends. We must all cherish this opportunity. If you have the chance, you should come here to practise. Do not wait until the very end of your life, only to be dragged away by your karmic creditors—that is a path of immense suffering!

A Mother's Final Plea

My child, Mother knows that you are filial. I hope that you can resolve the matters of our family with wisdom. You must take this opportunity to practise the Dharma as soon as possible. This chance is incredibly rare and precious. It can save you, and it can save everyone around you. Mother truly hopes that you will commit yourself to this practice. Please, you must remember what I have said.
